Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - I'm an Adult Now

After rescuing a young woman from a fiery car crash, Toby is troubled by visions of her missing son. Clearly traumatised and frightened by her abduction at gunpoint, Toby is unable to get her to share any information. And as his own fears for the child's well-being increase, he realises he's going to have to act quickly to make sense of the mental dissonance that plagues him.

        

Episode 2 - Emotional Rescue

After receiving telepathic visions of an explosion, Toby saves his former foster brother Vince Pirell from an apartment fire. But with a reputation as a tweaker and cooker of crystal meth, the victim becomes the suspect. Toby is convinced Vince is telling the truth and determined to track down the arsonist responsible.

        

Episode 3 - A Voice in the Dark

After bumping into a young homeless man, Toby is plagued by visions of a missing girl. Certain she's been abducted he pursues the street person for insights into her whereabouts. But he gets more than he bargained for including the distinct feeling that the street person might share his psychic abilities.

        

Episode 4 - Some Kind of Love

It looks like Toby might just get lucky when things take a tragic turn. After hooking up at a nightclub with Mina a beautiful pathologist, she's found dead. Initially pointed to as a suspect in her death, Toby does some "listening" to find the real murderer.

        

Episode 5 - Lisa Says

After Toby and Oz intervene in the swarming of Daniel, a street kid, Toby worries he's mixed up with some bad elements. Determined to help, he appeals to him with some of his own past experiences. But as he gets closer to the truth about Daniel's involvement in a series of pharmaceutical heists, Toby discovers that things may be a lot more complicated than he'd initially feared.

        

Episode 6 - Foggy Notion

After attending a fatal shooting in Chinatown, Toby finds himself getting emotionally involved with Kim Chu, the blind sister of one of the victims. In an effort to help her find out who killed her brother, Toby discovers a cover-up involving a Chinese crime boss who has been lying to police.

        

Episode 7 - Iris

After Toby witnesses a young woman revive a badly injured baby, he feels a strong kinship and curiosity about her gift. Like his own channeling powers, it's both a blessing, when she can heal someone, and a curse when she can't.

        

Episode 8 - One Way or Another

When it appears a serial rapist has struck again, Toby senses Detective Marks' guilt over failing to convict him before. Using his telepathic powers, Toby helps gather intelligence from a traumatised victim only to realise that Marks may have some deep wounds of her own. Meanwhile, Dr. Olivia Fawcett tangles with a patient, her former high school teacher, who refuses to show her respect.

        

Episode 9 - Inside Man

Toby is enlisted by Detective Charlie Marks to use his telepathic abilities on a traumatised teenager who witnessed the murder of his parents.

        

Episode 10 - Missing

Toby investigates a missing person case hoping the $100,000 reward will save Oz's parents from losing their home and business.

        

Episode 11 - Beginning to See the Light

When Toby's patient dies after a hit-and-run, he discovers the man was convicted of embezzling four million dollars and his death wasn't an accident.

        

Episode 12 - My Sisters Keeper

Toby's paramedic skills are questioned when, while trying to save the victim's life, he disturbs a crime scene.

        

Episode 13 - The Journey

Toby learns that "John Doe" an unidentified patient suffering from Alzheimer's could be linked to his past and that his dead mother may be alive.
