Episode 1 - Episode 1Detective Taekrok, due to retire soon, receives a prank call. Taekrok disregards the call at first, but the caller keeps on menacing Taekrok. Taekrok has no choice but to follow the unknown caller's instructions. He then witnesses the death of his junior officer. The next day, he is identified as the murderer.

Episode 2 - Episode 2Taekrok is framed for murder and gets interrogated by Jinhan, the new chief investigator. The two wrestle with each other for the truth. Even the co-workers who used to respect Taekrok now doubt him. Thanks to his senior, Taekrok gets a chance to be vindicated. However, Taekrok receives a call from the blackmailer again. The caller orders the detective to delve into the cases he undertook in the past.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Taekrok discovers the mistake he made in the past. Jinhan still suspects Taekrok as the murderer and persistently probes him, heightening the conflict. As Taekrok becomes aware of other mistakes he made, his chronic panic disorder worsens. Nevertheless, he tries his best to uncover the blackmailer, who also closes in on him.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Taekrok believes the blackmailer to be Jinhan and is persistent in proving his crime, until it is realized as a misunderstanding. In the end, Taekrok tells Jinhan about the blackmailer, and Jinhan clears his doubts about Taekrok. Meanwhile, Taekrok gets a clue about the real blackmailer's identity, but he faces unexpected danger.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Seonga and Gyeongchan, who respect Taekrok, decide to help him and join the investigation. After making a narrow escape, Jinhan also joins them. Taekrok discovers the blackmailer's target is not him but someone else. Taekrok refuses to follow the blackmailer's order, but the blackmailer provokes Taekrok's Achilles' heel.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Taekrok figures out the blackmailer must be the boss of a shady gang that recently went into hiding. If Taekrok arrests the boss, he can reveal the truth and he will be cleared from the charge of murder. However, the gang boss tells an unexpected truth that confuses Taekrok even more. Taekrok's plan goes awry and results in another misfortune.

Episode 7 - Episode 7Another fellow detective is found dead. Taekrok knows that the blackmailer is behind the case. Taekrok grasps the identity of the blackmailer and gets ready for a counterattack. He has to act quickly to prevent further victims, and he goes alone for the final fight. At that moment, a mysterious woman shows up and puts Taekrok in danger.

Episode 8 - Episode 8Taekrok barely escapes danger and plans to corner the blackmailer. The blackmailer reads the detective's move and puts people around him in danger. Finally, Taekrok confronts the blackmailer. At the same time, he learns a surprising truth. The game ends only if one of them dies, but Taekrok wants to save his opponent.
