Episode 1 - One More TimeFresh off their win at Internationals, Miss Kate and the Next Step dancers hold an Open House to welcome prospective new dancers to the studio. For some veteran A-Troupe members, it’s time to say goodbye, while others are still unsure of what their future holds.

Episode 2 - Stir It UpAs A-Troupe’s morning auditions begin, Amanda decides to explore her options and audition with Giselle for a professional touring dance company. Still reeling from his breakup with Thalia, Eldon makes an important decision about his future. Skylar and Cierra make a pact: Either both sisters make A-Troupe, or neither of them dance with the team. A special guest choreographer surprises the dancers with an intense routine.

Episode 3 - Heads Will RollAt the afternoon auditions, guest choreographer Stephanie has her last dance at The Next Step. Alfie helps the nervous new dancers relax before their auditions. Cierra and Skylar’s pact is tested when the sisters face the most challenging audition of their lives.

Episode 4 - Welcome To The JungleThe new A-troupe dancers are revealed, and Piper decides to form the Zero Percent Club with her nervous fellow newbies, to help each other get their nerves down to zero percent. Riley is offered the opportunity of a lifetime, and Cierra and Amanda both vie for the final open spot on A-Troupe

Episode 5 - Square OneRiley decides to assign a trio competition to prepare for the first Regionals qualifier. Amanda and Michelle are threatened by Richelle’s superior dance skills. Nervous about her limitations as a dancer, Sloane turns to her best friend LaTroy for support.

Episode 6 - London CallingWest receives a mysterious package from London, England, which leads to a big surprise for the bro’s. Noah takes a break from dance to work on his music in Studio-A, and enlists the help of a reluctant Amanda. Reeling from her humiliation in the trio competition, Sloane seeks help from the Zero Percent Club.

Episode 7 - Walk This WayAs James prepares to leave for London, an overwhelmed Riley wonders if she’s taken on too much as the head of the studio. Michelle and Cassie challenge Henry and LaTroy to teach them some new hip hop tricks. A smitten Amanda helps Noah with a family matter.

Episode 8 - RunawayRiley learns that Alfie is hiding a big secret, and his future at The Next Step is in jeopardy. James, West, and Eldon arrive in London, England for the Bangers & Mashups International Hip Hop Extravaganza.

Episode 9 - Dancing With MyselfNoah’s poor performance in rehearsal leads to questions about which trio should represent The Next Step at the qualifier. Michelle, worried about repeating past mistakes, turns to Alfie for help in improving her focus as a dancer. Amy and Cassie turn their Book Club meeting into a prank on an unprepared Sloane.

Episode 10 - Simple Twist of FateAs A-Troupe dances at the Qualifier, Amanda struggles to find the right time to share her feelings for Noah, while Noah continues to hide his back injury. In an effort to create positive vibes, Sloane organizes a party for the studio.

Episode 11 - On The RocksAfter the studio’s defeat at the qualifier, Riley reconsiders her position as studio head. Skylar thinks it’s in the studio’s best interest to make a change. Noah and Amanda grow closer, but his back injury might get in the way.

Episode 12 - Knowing Me, Knowing YouNoah invites Amanda on a pre-date, and she seizes the opportunity to figure out his true feelings for her. LaTroy and Sloane get into a fight after he receives an invitation he can’t refuse. Riley asks the dancers to review each other, but things don’t go as planned.

Episode 13 - The Game Belongs to MeMichelle’s competitive side is on full display when she’s pitted against Piper to compete at the qualifier. LaTroy seeks out Amy’s help to be the best dancer he can be. Riley chooses the five dancers that will compete in the qualifier.

Episode 14 - I Can’t Go For ThatRiley gets invited to an exclusive gala, and has to decide who to invite as her date. Skylar struggles to find her place on A-Troupe. LaTroy discovers that Henry has used his name in an unusual way.

Episode 15 - I Only Have Eyes for YouAmy makes LaTroy a proposition he can’t refuse, but things get complicated when Sloane discovers new feelings. West and Eldon have an adventure in London. Piper directs a documentary about her dance family, but what she uncovers is very surprising.

Episode 16 - Love Will Tear Us ApartMichelle and Riley have a long-overdue lunch date and take a walk down memory lane. Noah, afraid of losing his spot on A-Troupe, continues to hide his back troubles. The Zero Percent Club takes on the challenge of fixing Amy and Sloane’s friendship after their fallout over LaTroy.

Episode 17 - Nobody’s Fault but MineA new twist in the qualifier rules means A-Troupe could lose a dancer, and Riley considers pulling The Next Step from competition. The boys search for Eldon’s lost phone in London. Sloane struggles to deal with Amy and LaTroy’s relationship.

Episode 18 - Your Time Is Gonna ComeJames, Eldon, and West compete in the first round of the Bangers & Mashups Hip-Hop Extravaganza in London. Riley and Alfie grow closer, and Noah’s refusal to come clean about his injury starts to have negative consequences for the team.

Episode 19 - How Deep Is Your LoveWith Noah’s health in question, Alfie comes up with a plan for the qualifier duet that takes Riley by surprise. Amanda and Noah share their feelings for each other as he awaits his doctor’s appointment. LaTroy receives news from his dad and makes a shocking decision.

Episode 20 - Heat of the MomentWhen Noah receives a devastating diagnosis, auditions for the qualifier duet become more important than ever. LaTroy comes up with a long-distance plan to save Sloane and Amy’s friendship. Alfie resolves to make his feelings known to Riley, once and for all.

Episode 21 - Kiss and TellPiper struggles to keep the fact that she saw Riley and Alfie kiss to herself. Henry teaches Amanda a secret skill. Amy and Sloane get assigned an uncomfortable task.

Episode 22 - Rumour Has ItPiper gives Riley an ultimatum to tell James about her kiss with Alfie. Cassie has trouble looking on the bright side of things. Theo from Lost & Found helps Amanda deal with her fears about Noah’s operation.

Episode 23 - Here Comes Your ManAmanda’s cousin Cooper shows up to visit The Next Step Studio. Noah struggles with Amanda seeing him at his weakest. Thalia surprises Eldon by showing up in London. James comes home because he is concerned about Piper.

Episode 24 - Tainted LoveRiley tells James about the kiss. West and Eldon battle at the Bangers and MashUps competition in London. Noah and Amanda struggle with the next step in their relationship.

Episode 25 - A Fool in LoveRiley asks James for some space to sort out her feelings for Alfie. Amy tries to help LaTroy deal with being alone at the farm. Cassie helps Skylar deal with her fear of talking to strangers.

Episode 26 - Karma PoliceEmily shows up to help Riley get The Next Step to Regionals. Emily tries to get to the bottom of the problem with the Qualifier duet. Riley makes a decision about her relationship with James. Amy tries to help Sloane reconnect with LaTroy.

Episode 27 - Only YouEmily and Riley choose a Dance Captain. Noah struggles with being reassigned the Qualifier duet. Sloane helps Jude from Lost & Found with his music video.

Episode 28 - Danger ZoneRiley asks James for an impossible favour for the studio. Skylar helps the zero percenters deal with their nerves. James and Alfie have a heated conversation.

Episode 29 - RivalryJames and Alfie represent The Next Step at the final Qualifier. Skylar has to step in to help when the situation is at a crossroads. The A-Troupers at the studio try to do their best to clear any bad energy.

Episode 30 - Nobody’s PerfectRiley and Alfie have their first date and it does not go well. Noah takes a big step in his relationship with Amanda. Michelle is so focussed on her solo, she disappoints her trio teammates.

Episode 31 - Shake it OffRiley makes a mistake with Alfie and tries to make it up to him. Skylar helps Noah get competition ready. Amy helps Cassie with a history project.

Episode 32 - Come TogetherRiley helps the team get ready for competition by doing anti-bullying exercises. Everyone learns the different types of bullying behaviour and how to deal with it.

Episode 33 - It Ain’t EasyRiley is confused by her feelings towards Alfie. LaTroy returns from time with his father and turns to Sloane to sort out his feelings. James meets up with an old friend in London who gives him some good advice.

Episode 34 - Bold As LoveAlfie asks Riley to go on a trip. She does, but not where he planned. Eldon, West and James compete in the finals at the Bangers and Mashups International Hip Hip Competition. When it looks like James has run out of steam, he gets some unexpected inspiration.

Episode 35 - Taking Care of BusinessJames and Riley return to the studio, only to discover that a team member has left. West and Eldon help the small group with their choreography. Riley struggles with confiding with James about studio issues, now that they have reunited.

Episode 36 - The Edge of GloryThe team prepares to leave for Regionals. Cassie is made the alternate dancer but still tries to help the team. Giselle drops by on a break from her tour and gives Amanda a special invitation. LaTroy spends time with both Sloane and Amy.

Episode 37 - Even Better Than the Real ThingThe team competes in the first round at Regionals. Due to a misreading of the rules, the solo round is not what they expected. The result is devastating. Tanisha Scott co-hosts the SNR broadcast with Chuck Anderson.

Episode 38 - Don’t Stop Me NowThe Next Step competes in the sudden death trio round. Michelle pushes herself before the trio dance in order to be ready. Amanda struggles with the offer from Giselle. The Geminis continue to win every round.

Episode 39 - Livin' On A PrayerThe team competes in the duet round and if they win, they go to semi-finals. With Sloane disqualified and Michelle injured, The Next Step does not have enough dancers to dance in the final, if they make it there. Amanda makes her decision. James supports The Next Step in a way no one would expect.

Episode 40 - A Change is Gonna ComeNow that Alfie is back, the team is able to compete in the Regionals final. But when Michelle shows up ready to dance, Riley has to make a heart-breaking decision and side-line one of the dancers who was about to compete. LaTroy makes a decision he has been dreading. With several team members broken hearted, The Next Step leaves it all on the floor in the final.
