Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Pull My Ponytail / Class Cow

It’s Valentine’s Day, and Dana uses a variety of power tools and a puppeteered ponytail to force Todd and Maurecia to fall in love. / While Mrs. Jewls is on a faculty retreat, a cow wanders into her class and the students mistake it for a substitute teacher.

  

Episode 1 - Oh, Brother / Snow Day

When Myron meets Dana’s older brother Boris, he want to be a rebel “just like him.” But Boris is no rebel – he just neglected to hand in some homework when he went to Wayside, and now Mrs. Jewls is out to catch this “fugitive.” / The air conditioning unit on the roof malfunctions and blankets the class with snow, trapping the kids. Students struggle to survive and vie for leadership “Lord of the Flies”-style. The class split into two opposing groups – one led by Todd, the other by Maurecia.

  

Episode 2 - Dr. Dana / Myth of Nick

Dana starts broadcasting a popular radio advice show over the school P.A. But things go awry when she loses her voice and Myron takes over, giving everyone the worst possible advice and attributing it all to Dana. / Todd sets out to debunk the “urban legends” about a former student named Nick who is credited with all kinds of fantastic school stunts, including visiting the nonexistent 19th floor and exploring the Cow Bathroom on the 2nd floor. Along the way, he discovers Nick is more real than he ever imagined.

  

Episode 2 - Meet the Pets / Oh, Great Leader

Everyone brings their pet to class and asks Todd, the only kid in class who DOESN’T have a pet, to watch all their animals while they go to lunch. Chaos ensues. / The students try to throw Principal Kidswatter a surprise birthday party, but he mistakenly assumes they are attempting to “overthrow” him, and recruits the “new kid” Todd to spy for him.

  

Episode 3 - Honors Class / Cabbage, My Boy

Maurecia accidentally gets promoted to the 29th floor Honors Class instead of Dana, and does everything she can to escape the class (which is taught by Miss Mush, phD and only has one other student in it – Sammy the Dead Rat). / Myron adopts a head of lettuce as his baby brother, inspiring Mrs. Jewls to assign the class a project about their families. Todd frets that his project will fail since he is an only child.

  

Episode 3 - Slo Mo Mo / Joe 'n' Fro

Maurecia loves being first until she becomes the slowest kid in school due to a Kidswatter rule forcing her to put square wheels on her skates. She eventually learns there’s no sense rushing everywhere if you just end up getting there alone. / The kids shun a student named Joe when his giant hair becomes overwhelmingly large and messy. They eventually learn Joe has been hiding several displaced yard critters in his afro to protect them from Kidswatter’s bizarre “yard beautification” plans.

  

Episode 4 - Upside Down John / The Final Stretch

The kids attempt to help Upside Down John stand upright in order to avoid the “failures” of his upside down ancestors… only to realize that John’s family accomplished more on their head than most people ever do standing on their feet. / “The Final Stretch” – While trying to find out who destroyed both his office and his rubber band ball, Kidswatter hears four different Rashomon-style explanations. But it’s not until he hears a fifth story from one of the cows that he truly understands.

  

Episode 4 - He Is It / Mascot Madness

Myron dresses up like a giant-headed, mascot version of Todd in order to inspire the school’s tetherball team. Todd protests, but ultimately must take the Big Head Todd mascot’s place when Myron breaks the costume. / A casual game of tag goes awry when Todd tags Myron, and Myron uses his newfound status as “it” to demand special treatment from all those around him, eventually turning into a Caesar-like despot.

  

Episode 5 - Best Friendzzz / Kindergarten King

Best friends Dana and Myron have a fight, and Myron decides to make sleeping Shari his new best friend. Since she is always asleep, he uses an empty glass pressed up against her head to “hear” her thoughts. / Todd saves a kindergarten kid’s stuffed animal, and the 5 year olds make him their king, doing everything they can to serve and protect him, which makes Todd completely mental (and Myron extremely jealous).

  

Episode 5 - Kidswatter’s Opus / The Three Erics

Despite being a school principal, Kidswatter abhors the idea of teaching…until he gets “stuck” having to care for Mrs. Jewls’ class. He soon discovers the joys of the classroom. / When Myron learns Small Eric wants to get noticed more, he convinces him to change his name to “Small Myron.” Maurecia then volunteers to become one of The Three Erics in order to sit closer to Todd in class. But Maurecia’s (a.k.a. “Eric-Who-Loves-Todd”) finds it difficult to fit into the close-knit Eric trio.

  

Episode 6 - Myron vs. Normy / Age of Aquarium

Myron dresses up as his “twin brother” Normy, in order to avoid getting in trouble. However, all his classmates end up liking Normy a lot more than Myron, and want to elect him class president instead. / In a Wayside field trip, the kids don’t go to the aquarium, the fish come to them! The classroom is filled with water and fish, but Todd must sit out the “trip” in a life raft, since he forgot his permission slip.

  

Episode 6 - Le Race / Imperfect Attendance

Myron accidentally convinces Kidswatter to bet the school in a winner-take-all climbing contest with Le Chef. Fortunately, no one can climb a building better than Miss Mush. / Dana must choose between helping her friends through various Wayside-style disasters and preserving her perfect attendance record as she struggles to make it to class before the bell rings.

  

Episode 7 - Miss Fortune / The Note

Miss Mush tells fortunes by reading mushroom surprise stains, and predicts Maurecia will grow up to be a milkmaid. Action-loving Maurecia always thought she’d have a more exciting career, but soon discovers that dealing with the Wayside cows is an extreme sport too. / Todd refuses to reply to a love note passed to him by Maurecia, so all the other students respond to Maurecia on the note for him. The other kids’ written remarks get completely out of control, and Todd scrambles to stop his wild “reply” from reaching Maurecia.
