Yul Vazquez (Actor) .. Javier Ospina
Born: March 18, 1965
Birthplace: Cuba
Trivia: Actor Yul Vázquez fit the bill for Hispanic or generalized ethnic roles in Hollywood productions, but worked to some degree against the grain by seeking out some of the more atypical and offbeat assignments within this type. He debuted in the Arne Glimcher-directed period musical drama The Mambo Kings (1992) -- as a member of the 1950s band at the center of the story -- then followed it up with bit parts and supporting roles in big-screen productions including Fresh (1994), Nick of Time (1995), Bad Boys II (2003), and War of the Worlds (2005), as well as occasional guest appearances on such series programs as Seinfeld and Law & Order. In 2007, Vázquez joined the cast of Ridley Scott's period crime melodrama American Gangster, alongside Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
Joseph Gilgun (Actor) .. Dominic
Born: March 09, 1984
Birthplace: Chorley, Lancashire, England
Trivia: Has both dyslexia and ADHD. Started drama workshops at the age of eight. Performed in Hanky Park the Musicalat The Lowry Theatre, Greater Manchester, England. Played Charlie Millwall in stage play Borstal Boy, which ended at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Olympia Dukakis (Actor) .. Aunt Vicky
Born: June 20, 1931
Birthplace: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States
Trivia: Olympia Dukakis is one of those character actresses who infallibly lends a touch of class to whatever picture she's in. Despite her extraordinary dignity and class, she is able to make even the most outrageous character believable. Though she is well regarded in film, Dukakis has spent the bulk of her distinguished career on-stage as an actress and a director. She is also a highly respected drama teacher. The daughter of Greek immigrants, Dukakis once worked as a physical therapist. Her interest in acting came after appearing in summer stock and then taking adult-ed classes in drama at Boston University, where she graduated with a master's in Fine Arts. After graduation, she began her theatrical career and then co-founded Boston's renowned Charles Playhouse. Dukakis made her film debut in director Robert Rossen's last film Lillith (1964). She continued to make sporadic and undistinguished appearances in movies though much of the '80s, but did not gain notice until 1987 when she won an Academy Award for playing Cher's Italian mother in Moonstruck. Since then, Dukakis has specialized in playing older women from different ethnic backgrounds or mothers. Subsequent film appearances include Steel Magnolias (1989), where she played the elegant widow Clairee Belcher, Mighty Aphrodite (1995), and Picture Perfect (1997). In addition to her film and stage work -- she has appeared in over 100 plays -- Dukakis has also occasionally appeared on television in movies and mini-series. One of her most famous roles was that of the mysterious and kooky Annie Madrigal in the PBS adaptation of Armistad Maupin's Tales of the City (1993). Though the miniseries' gay themes led to considerable controversy, a sequel starring Dukakis was released in 1998. In addition to her Oscar win, she has earned Obie Awards, a New York and Los Angeles Critics Award, and a Golden Globe. As a drama teacher, Dukakis has worked at New York University and Yale. Her cousin, Michael Dukakis, was a presidential candidate for the Democratic party in 1988.She co-starred with Juli Dench for The Last of the Blonde Bombshells in 2000, and took a leading role in 2001's Further Tales of the City. Though she remained busy throughout the early and mid-2000s, it wasn't until 2006 that she would enjoy critical success in the acclaimed drama Away From Her. In 2007 she co-starred in the comedy drama The Land of Women. In 2011 she appeared in The Misadventures of the Dunderheads and Cloudburst, and joined the cast of Joe Papp in Five Acts in 2012.
Juliet Aubrey (Actor) .. Evelyn Mazur
Born: December 17, 1969
Birthplace: Fleet, Hampshire
Trivia: A talented, intelligent actress of understated charisma, Juliet Aubrey became a BAFTA-winning sensation in her native Britain after starring as the cerebral and corseted Dorothea opposite Rufus Sewell in the wildly acclaimed 1994 Masterpiece Theatre adaptation of Middlemarch. Aubrey, who had graduated from London's Central School of Speech and Drama only a year before landing her starring role, reacted to the sudden onslaught of fame by hightailing it to India for a year. When she returned, she began taking parts in such small-scale productions as Michael Winterbottom's Go Now (1995) and Welcome to Sarajevo (1997).Of Welsh and English parentage, Aubrey was raised the daughter of a doctor and nurse in Fleet, Hampshire. Interested in performing from a young age (an interest she apparently shared with her cousin, best known as U2's the Edge), she acted in school productions until heading for King's College, London, where she studied archeology. During her second year of university she went on a dig in Naples and ended up joining a theatre troupe and singing in bars to earn a living. Upon her return to London, Aubrey enrolled at the Central School, where she trained with the likes of Jennifer Ehle and Angus MacFadyen. After landing roles in two continental European productions, she got her big break in Middlemarch, a miniseries that proved to be excessively popular among British television viewers. On the heels of her return from her year-long sojourn in India, Aubrey starred as the steadfastly loyal girlfriend of a man (Robert Carlyle) stricken with MS in Go Now and although the film failed to make much of a commercial impression, Aubrey's performance earned critical praise. She went on to collaborate once more with Winterbottom, playing the wife of a British journalist sent to the former Yugoslavia in Welcome to Sarajevo, and appeared in a number of low-key European productions. She also starred in Roberto Faenza's acclaimed L'Amante Perduto (1999), a drama that cast Aubrey as a woman living with her family in Israel who becomes convinced that a young stranger is really her son who was killed years before in London.
