Zachary Levi
(Actor)
.. Shazam
Born:
September 29, 1980
Birthplace: Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States
Trivia:
Actor Zachary Levi began acting on-stage in community and regional theater when he was just a kid, but it was a very grown-up performance as Hank in the play Marvin's Room that booked him an agent. His first big break onscreen was a supporting role in the FX TV movie Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie. Among other TV work, he played Kipp Steadman on the sitcom Less Than Perfect. Eventually, he scored the lead role of geeky unlikely hero Chuck Bartowski on the spy comedy TV series Chuck, which began airing in 2007. While Chuck ran for 5 seasons, he tried his hand at big-screen success in projects such as Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. He had his biggest hit voicing the good guy in the animated hit Tangled. In 2013, he replaced Josh Dallas (who was busy working on Once Upon a Time on TV) in Thor: The Dark World, playing Fandral. Levi was scheduled to play the role in the first Thor movie, but scheduling conflicts with Chuck forced him to have to drop out. In 2015, he was cast in the Heroes TV series reboot, titled Heroes Reborn.
Mark Strong
(Actor)
.. Dr Thaddeus Sivana
Born:
August 30, 1963
Birthplace: London
Trivia:
With a handsome visage, but also slightly gaunt and stark features that could suggest menace or intensity at the drop of a hat, raven-haired Englishman Mark Strong essayed a long and surprisingly diverse list of character roles throughout the 1990s and 2000s; many played perfectly off of these physical attributes. Early in his career, Strong remained almost exclusively in Britain, for such efforts as Captives (1994) , Sharpe's Mission (1996), Emma (1997), and Fever Pitch (1997). In time, however, the actor went transcontinental, turning up in fare as diverse as the István Szabó epic drama Sunshine (1999) and American indie helmer Mike Figgis' 2001 Hotel -- thus showcasing his own versatility. Strong's role choice during this period also suggested a strong predilection for cinematizations of classics, from Henry VIII (2003) to Tristan & Isolde (2005). He gained heightened recognition among U.S. audiences (particularly young viewers) in 2007, when he played Septimus, the one of the many heirs to the throne of Stormhold, in Matthew Vaughn's wondrous fantasy Stardust.

Djimon Hounsou
(Actor)
.. Wizard
Born:
April 24, 1964
Birthplace: Cotonou, Benin
Trivia:
Actor Djimon Hounsou first gained acting attention in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). Born April 24th, 1964 in West Africa, he moved with his family to Paris, France, at age 13. When he left school, he became homeless and spent a couple of years wandering the streets of Paris before being discovered by fashion designer Thierry Mugler. After he resettled himself, Hounsou moved to Los Angeles to try his hand at acting. While on the way to stardom, Hounsou appeared in music videos, including those of Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Steve Winwood. After his turn as a rebellious slave in Amistad, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, he found increasingly steady employment on both the big and small screens, becoming a semi-regular on the hospital drama ER and appearing in such films as the historical epic Gladiator (2000). After such high-profile projects, Hounsou's success in the following two years would prove no surprise to anyone who glanced at his filmography. Aside from prominent roles in such high-profile French films as 2002's Le Boulet (Dead Weight) and the following year's Muraya -- l'Expérience Secrète de Mike Blueberry (The Adventures of Mike S. Blueberry), Hounsou's bid for screen stardom was simultaneously on display in such stateside features as The Four Feathers (2002), Biker Boyz, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider -- The Cradle of Life (both 2003).In 2003, Hounsou received his first Oscar nomination for his acclaimed supporting role in Jim Sheridan's In America. And while he spent much of the next three years appearing in films that earned mixed reactions from both audiences and critics, he was back in top form in 2006's Blood Diamond, which found him opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. The film appeared on a number of Top Ten lists, garnered Hounsou accolades from countless critics groups and snagged him his second Oscar nod.Following the success of Blood Diamond, Hounsou made several guest appearances on th popular television show Alias, and joined filmmaker Michae Bay's 2005 action drama The Island, which co-stars Scarlet Johansson, Steve Buscemi, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Sean Bean. In 2009, Hounsou played the rle of n aget determined to thwart the plans of a group of telekinetic American ex-pats. The actor joined the Academy-award winning actress Helen Mirren in the 2011 film adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest, in which Mirren played the traditionally male role of Prospero.

Adam Brody
(Actor)
Born:
December 15, 1979
Birthplace: San Diego, California, United States
Trivia:
Upon realizing that his parents would never accept the fact that their son wanted to pursue a career in acting, Adam Brody did exactly what any red-blooded, determined American teen would do in order to achieve his dream -- he lied to them. Thankfully for Brody, his gamble at fame was a success, and following a noteworthy feature debut in the made-for-television movie Growing Up Brady, the talented young star would go on to land roles in such high-profile releases as American Pie 2 and The Ring. Knowing that he had what it took to launch a successful film and television career -- but unable to convince his parents of his certainty -- the San Diego native eventually persuaded his mother and father to allow him to remain on the West Coast following his high-school graduation and attend college in Los Angeles. Of course, Brody's higher education was merely a guise for his true plans, and in lieu of enrolling in classes, the deceptive aspiring thespian instead opted to hire an acting coach and a personal manager in preparation for hitting the audition circuit. Soon chosen to portray Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams for the screen adaptation of his revealing memoir Growing Up Brady, Brody was on his way to stardom. The millennial turnover proved an incredibly fruitful period for the young actor's blossoming career, with a series of small-screen appearances in such popular television series as Once and Again, Grounded for Life, and Judging Amy offering notable exposure before Brody joined the cast of the hit MTV series Undressed. After a brief appearance in American Pie 2, Brody returned to the small screen and MTV for the short-lived cult series The Sausage Factory in 2001. Following a doomed appearance in The Ring, Brody once again returned to television for a lead role on the popular Fox drama The O.C. At this point, it was obvious to all who had followed his career that Brody was more than just another pretty face, with roles in the carefree skateboard comedy Grind and the affecting family drama Missing Brendan serving to highlight his remarkable versatility before the cameras. In 2005, Brody could be seen opposite Hollywood heavies Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Go director Doug Liman's action thriller Mr. and Mrs. Smith. He continued to work, often in indie comedies like The Ten and Smiley Face. In 2007 he had the lead in Jon Kasdan's In the Land of Women opposite such female heavyweights as Meg Ryan, Kirsten Stewart, and Olympia Dukakis. He appeared in the Diablo Cody-scripted horror film Jennifer's Body, and in the Kevin Smith action comedy Cop Out. He was well-used by director Whit Stillman in his college campus comedy Damsels in Distress in 2011, and the next year he played in the bittersweet comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. 2013 saw Brody cast as porn legend Harry Reems in the biopic Lovelace. That same year he had a recurring role on the TV series House of Lies, and he played the gay best friend to the main character in the romantic comedy Baggage Claim. Brody had a small role in Think Like a Man Too (2014) and had a memorable guest spot on New Girl.

John Glover
(Actor)
Born:
August 07, 1944
Trivia:
A longtime character actor with a reputation for taking on villainous roles with gleeful abandon and a subtle touch of humor, John Glover was once dubbed "the supreme rotter of the '80s" by the late film critic Pauline Kael, thanks to unforgettable performances in such films as 52 Pick-Up, Masquerade, and Scrooged. Always injecting his baddies with an element of quirk and personality, Glover later gravitated away from a life of cinematic crime to success with more sympathetic roles in Love! Valour! Compassion! and Mid-Century. A Salisbury, MD, native who pursued his higher education at Towson State Teacher's College, Glover began an off-Broadway career in the late '60s, which led to small parts in the mid-'70s in such films as Shamus (1973) and Annie Hall (1977). With occasional small-screen roles balancing out his features, Glover began carving out a villainous niche for himself during the '80s in such movies as The Evil That Men Do and 52 Pick-Up. Though Glover's big-screen work served as his bread and butter, more sympathetic television appearances -- as a valiant AIDS patient in An Early Frost (1985) and a dedicated doctor in L.A. Law -- earned the actor a pair of Emmy nominations. As his career progressed, Glover became an increasingly prominent figure on TV thanks to parts in Miami Vice, Murder, She Wrote, and Frasier, and his "villains" became ever more quirky in such high-profile features as Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Robocop 2. Glover's roles were also becoming increasingly diverse. Offering a side of himself rarely seen by audiences, he played artist Leonardo DaVinci in the 1991 made-for-TV feature A Season of Giants, and then portrayed another villain, this time the biggest of them all -- the Devil himself -- in the 1998 series Brimstone. Beginning in 1992, Glover did voice work for the popular superhero cartoon Batman: The Animated Series and, later, Batman: Gotham Nights; he also had onscreen roles in the live-action feature Batman & Robin and the WB series Smallville. Glover often returns to his alma matter (now called Towson University) to work with the drama students at the school's Fine Arts College.
