UCSB is impressed with Marvyn’s rehabbed image through Kalm Korn, and now they’re interested in him. During a trial run practice to make sure he gels with the players, Marvyn discovers that what UCSB truly wants is the showy, circus Marvyn Korn, not merely his coaching abilities. They don’t want him to throw a chair, but they want people to think he might. When the offer comes through, Marvyn works to keep it under wraps, but the Westbrook team grows suspicious, eventually putting the details together. Meanwhile, Ms. Goodwyn and Marvyn meet with George to work out their daughters’ growing feud — realizing that they both are neglecting their daughters’ needs. Destiny struggles with the news about her true birth mother. Jake and Olive get closer, and Jake reveals that Samantha has been getting harassed by Carlsbad Crazies in the lead-up to their next game. Later, Holly receives a shocking offer from Coach McCarthy, and Marvyn gets backlash at the premiere of Beth Macbeth when Emma singles him out for prioritizing himself over everyone else.
