Episode 1 - Planes, Trains, And Automobiles

Six months after Ashley and Miles’ prison nuptials in the season one finale, Ashley is doing backflips to try and raise their son on her own. She is reaching her breaking point and is taking it out on everyone around her. Miles is adjusting to life on the inside, and counting down the days before their first family visitation weekend at San Quentin. Rainey is doing her best to make Ashley and Sean feel at home while trying to find a way to stay connected to her son behind bars, but Ashley holds all the cards. Trish’s new business is flourishing, but she is dealing with jealousy issues now that her best friend and business partner, Jacque, is dating Cuddie. Janelle is growing frustrated with Ashley’s constant need for support and has begun to miss her life back in Bali. And then of course Earl, fresh out of prison himself for unintentionally breaking his probation, has moved out of Nancy’s house and is trying to re-establish a relationship with his own family, and his past. Welcome back to the ordeal.

Episode 2 - Life Is Too Short

Trish and Jacque decide to celebrate the success of their business, Kinky Blinders, with a spa day. Much to their surprise, Oakland rapper Too $hort is at the same spa and falls into the pool while having an allergic reaction. Luckily, a fast-acting Teena jumps into the water and saves him. To thank them, Too $hort invites them to his favorite buffet: the San Francisco strip club where they all used to work. Earl has reconnected with his high school sweetheart, June. They go on a date at a fancy French restaurant, but are seated in a horrible, noisy spot, right by the kitchen door. The sensory overload unnerves Earl and triggers his PTSD. He causes a scene as he storms out of the place with June in tow. Meanwhile, a drunk Ashley bonds with Teena after learning they both have husbands in prison, and Trish is jealous that Jacque is spending so much time with her boyfriend, Cuddie, so she decides she needs to break them up.

Episode 3 - N*ggaz and Jesus

The time has finally come for Miles' first family weekend visit. He's allowed forty-eight hours of physical contact with Ashley and Sean in a house on San Quentin's property. But things don't go quite as planned when within the first ten minutes of being together, seven-year-old Sean utters the ‘N' word. Ashley and Miles are flabbergasted. How do they explain to Sean he must NOT use that word in a way he can understand? Their attempts lead to further questions about the differences between his mom and dad, and the racial history of America, which Miles attempts to explain with a board game based on the 1849 California Gold Rush. On the other side of the bay, Nancy invites Rainey to a support group for mothers who have incarcerated children at her church, but Rainey struggles to connect, realizing she no longer has faith in god, and searches for other ways to deal with her feelings. Be it a word or a belief, what's right for someone isn't necessarily right for another.

Episode 4 - By Hook or by Crook

To celebrate Halloween, Trish has organized a trip to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with Ashley, Earl and Janelle. It's the first time Earl has allowed himself to have some fun and ventured away from the Bay Area since his release from prison. With the four dressed as Catholic nuns, Trish pulls out a walking stick to feign blindness so she can get a ‘Disabled' pass to cut the lines, leading to an argument about how offensive she is being and a debate about gaming the system to their advantage. Meanwhile Jacque is introducing her boyfriend, Cuddie, to her family for the first time at her parents' annual Halloween shindig. Trish, who wants Jacque for herself, has tricked an unsuspecting Cuddie to dress as a pirate for the party, knowing this costume could trigger a negative response with Jacque's family and cause them to reject him. As the evening progresses, things go awry for everyone.

Episode 5 - Karate Kiss

Rainey visits Miles in prison to go over some important documents. She laments about never having enough time with him and mentions she and Ashley's relationship is on thin ice at the moment. Janelle finds a surprise at her door when Mustafa, her ex-husband from Bali, shows up to win her back. Unbeknownst to Janelle, Nancy rented him her spare room so they can meet face to face to work things out. The two have a heated discussion and end up literally fighting for their love as they try to get past their differences. Meanwhile, Ashley goes out to a local bar with her new friend, Teena. Teena has convinced her that even though both of their husbands are serving time in prison, she needs to cut loose and dance. But, what initially seems like a good idea turns into a groggy mistake as the alcohol continues to flow. Ashley tries to assuage her anger and guilt on her new friend Teena, but ultimately this is a mistake she has to own. Can she live with the guilty secret of what she has done?

Episode 6 - The Good, The Bad, And the Thizzly

It's the time of the California Gold Rush and Sean needs to free his father from the clutches of the evil deputy of Oaktown. While at the old Western saloon, "Kinky Blinders", he enlists the help of Tia Trish and a fellow outlaw, Ashley Rose, to help him with his quest. Rainey, Nancy, Janelle and even Earl all join in to help him free his father. When a big shootout takes place on the main street, it ends up turning into a duel between the good and the bad—the "Raiders" versus the "Niners". Who will win?

Episode 7 - Meatfest

Every year to spite her vegan ex-husband, Rainey throws an annual Meatfest, where only meat is served. No vegetables allowed. Everyone rolls in with their platters of protein, looking forward to a festive gathering. When Trish discovers a secret that Ashley's been hiding and threatens to tell Rainey, Ashley counters with a threat of her own and it becomes a battle of wills and a race to get the other party guests on their side while also trying to keep their secrets contained. Meanwhile, Sean's bug terrarium has fallen over and his praying mantis bugs have escaped all throughout the house. Earl, June, and Janelle help him try to recapture all of the bugs and Thizzly before anyone finds out. Will the secrets- and bugs- end up back in their locked cages or will all be exposed?

Episode 8 - Return to Ithaca

It's New Year's Eve, which marks the one-year anniversary of Miles' arrest. The entire Turner family is mad at Ashley and Miles has refused to speak to her since her confession, so Ashley is staying next door at Nancy's. Devastated, she doesn't know what to do or who to talk to. Rainey has been like a mother to her, but it seems clear she's picked a side and Ashley is alone. Meanwhile, Trish and Jacque must deal with the fallout of Trish's admission of love at Meatfest, and Earl receives a surprising call from his father asking for help in his restaurant- will he go and try to mend fences with his estranged dad? Additional secrets are revealed as we finally learn the truth about what happened on the night Miles was arrested and a surprising guest makes an appearance at the Turner New Year's Eve party.
