Biography
About Mehmood
Starred in over 300 movies, usually in comedic roles. Before he established himself in the film industry, he worked as a driver and doing odd jobs, including selling poultry. Was nominated for over a dozen Filmfare Best Comedian Awards, winning four times.
Won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for Dil Tera Diwana (1962). In the late 1960s and early 70s Amitabh Bachchan twice lived at the Mehmood residence for a prolongued period.
