Biography
About Kanwaljit Singh
Made his debut in films with a role in Dastan-E-Laila Majnu (1974). Had taken exams many times for recruitment to armed forces but couldn't get selected. Married actress Anuradha Patel who is the granddaughter of legendary actor Ashok Kumar.
Has adopted a daughter, Mariam, who lives in the United States. Had starred in the late filmmaker Lekh Tandon's last film Do Rahain (1997). Acted in a negative role in the serial Saans (1998) which wasn't approved by the Star Plus channel for almost a year due to its bold take on adultery and broken marriages.
Co-acted with Kiran Joneja after a gap of 26 years in the serial Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi... Meri Bhabhi (2014). Faced the ordeal of the disastrous September 2014 India-Paskistan floods while on a vacation with his family in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Played the role of oldest character Hridayanath Shastri in the serial Dil Deke Dekho (2016).
