Jesse Metcalfe
(Actor)
.. John Tucker
Born:
December 09, 1978
Birthplace: Waterford, Connecticut, United States
Trivia:
A former model whose dark and handsome good looks made him the ideal candidate for a role on television's most supernaturally charged daytime drama, Jesse Metcalfe made a big impression on television viewers when he made his small-screen debut as the easygoing Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on Passions in the late-'90s. The Waterford, CT native and Tisch School of the Arts graduate has also appeared in a number of commercials and magazines (including Seventeen and YM) on his way to the top. Sent on an open call for Passions by his modeling agency in 1999, Metcalfe won out over hundreds of other actors thanks to a winning combination of good looks and relaxed talent in front of the cameras. After an impressive five-year run on the outlandish soap opera, Metcalfe appeared in a reoccurring role on the popular cult hit Smallville. He then truly hit his stride with his role as boy-toy stud John Rowland on the ABC hit Desperate Housewives. It was only a matter of time before Metcalfe made the leap to the big screen, and in the summer of 2006, he essayed the role of the eponymous serial cheater in director Betty Thomas' romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die. Metcalfe would go on to spend the next few years starring on Desperate Housewives, Chase, and a remake of the night time soap Dallas. An avid songwriter and guitarist, Metcalfe has also displayed his athleticism by joining the Hollywood Knights, a charitable basketball team dedicated to raising funds for schools throughout Southern California.
Brittany Snow
(Actor)
.. Kate
Born:
March 09, 1986
Birthplace: Tampa, Florida, United States
Trivia:
The photogenic and fair-haired Brittany Snow traveled the path of Brooke Shields and others by going to work as a model at the age of three. Born in Tampa to John and Cynthia Snow on March 9, 1986, Brittany appeared on the small screen from the age of eight -- when she landed a number of spots on the Spielberg-produced SeaQuest DSV, starring Roy Scheider -- not a bad start for an elementary schooler. Snow later voiced Shizuku in the Americanized version of Hayao Miyazaki's Whisper of the Heart. In the fall of 2000, she enrolled as a freshman in the Tampa-area's Gaither High School, a public secondary institution. At the age of 16, Snow signed for one of the central roles on NBC's coming-of-age series American Dreams, a kind of Wonder Years update. Set about five years before that series began, Dreams opened in 1963 with the Kennedy assassination. As Meg Pryor, a high schooler with a much-coveted job as an American Bandstand dancer (and two romances -- one with a Bandstand participant, the other with a record store employee), Snow stole viewers' hearts and helped propel the series to a four-season run. After a supporting role in the 2005 Vin Diesel comedy The Pacifier, Snow found her broadest exposure in two 2006 releases. That year's black comedy John Tucker Must Die (by Hill Street Blues alum and Private Parts director Betty Thomas) unofficially reworks -- and sanitizes -- the Dangerous Liasons formula, with Snow and two other teen heartthrobs (Ashanti and Sophia Bush) as disgruntled high schoolers determined to give the class stud a comeuppance by hiring a girl to break his heart. The film received so-so reviews and opened in late July 2006 to predictably decent box office. Snow landed her first big-screen lead in the same year's On the Doll (directed by Thomas Mignone) , as Balery, a stripper. In spring 2006, she signed with Kristin Cavallari to star in the psychological thriller Fingerprints for Harry Basil (Meet Wally Sparks Cloud Nine). Snow decided to return to network TV in 2010 when she signed on to play a lawyer's assistant in David E. Kelly's midseason legal drama Harry's Law. Offscreen, she is active with the Jed Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing emotional stress and preventing suicide among college students.Snow lives with her mother in Florida.
Ashanti
(Actor)
.. Heather
Born:
October 13, 1980
Birthplace: Glen Clove, New York, United States
Trivia:
Widely hailed as one of the greatest urban music discoveries of the new millennium, glamorous R&B recording sensation Ashanti entered the public eye thanks, in large part, to the efforts of record mogul Irv Gotti, the powerhouse also responsible for launching Ja Rule's career. Such albums as Chapter II, Concrete Rose, and The Declaration sold an unholy number of copies in a brief span of time, ensuring superstardom for the ascendant diva. In actuality, however, the young woman -- born Ashanti S. Douglas -- had already established a viable presence in a key number of theatrically released feature films and telemovies long prior to her 2002 debut album. She received her formal training in dance at the Bernice Johnson Cultural Arts Center, and made one of her earliest television appearances as a dancer, at age nine, in the Phylicia Rashad-headlined musical update of Pollyanna, Polly (1989). Bit parts in feature films ensued, including Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992) and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? (1993). Unsurprisingly, Ashanti's acting career received a boost from musical stardom; she landed small roles in the quasi-Bollywood comedy Bride and Prejudice (2004) and the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer before tackling her first lead, as Dorothy Gale, in the made-for-television special The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (2005). Ashanti then rose to higher billing with plum roles in the teen sex comedy John Tucker Must Die (2006) and the action-filled video-game adaptation Resident Evil: Extinction (2007).
Sophia Bush
(Actor)
.. Beth
Born:
July 08, 1982
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, United States
Trivia:
Like a lot of girls born into the upper-middle-class suburb of Pasadena, CA, Sophia Bush caught a whiff of the Hollywood air just down the road and took an interest in acting at an early age. After getting her feet wet in school plays at the Westridge School for Girls, she graduated in 2000 and enrolled at the University of Southern California, where she majored in journalism and minored in theater. It was that minor interest that proved to be her greatest passion, however, and in 2002, at the age of 20, she scored her first movie gig with a small role in National Lampoon's Van Wilder.Another onscreen role would follow in 2003, and a much more substantial one. Bush was cast as sassy cheerleader Brooke Davis in the WB series One Tree Hill. She left school to work full-time on the series, which paid off when One Tree Hill proved to be a huge hit. In addition to the professional success that the show brought her, the program also featured Bush's onscreen romance with co-star Chad Michael Murray -- which soon turned into a real-life love affair. The two were wed in 2005, but unfortunately, the union was not to last. After just five months, the two separated and eventually divorced, though they remained co-stars on the series. Bush took the personal hit in stride, continuing to act in additional projects such as Supercross: The Movie and the popular 2006 comedy John Tucker Must Die. Bush also proved to have a knack for tense and scary subject matter, from a recurring part on the series Nip/Tuck to a starring role in the 2006 horror flick Stay Alive. In 2007, she appeared in an even bigger horror movie as the female lead in a remake of The Hitcher, starring opposite veteran actor Sean Bean. While building up her impressive acting resumé, Bush still didn't lose the interest in journalism that she pursued in college, working as an assignment editor for Annenberg TV News when she wasn't on-set.Bush returned to TV in the short-lived sitcom Partners before playing the recurring role of detective Erin Lindsay on Chicago Fire. Her character was part of the planned 2014 spin-off, Chicago P.D.
Arielle Kebbel
(Actor)
.. Carrie
Born:
February 19, 1985
Birthplace: Winter Park, Florida, United States
Trivia:
The fair-haired, fresh-faced and photogenic Arielle Kebbel lived the dream of many an American teenage girl by traveling the direct, one-shot path from obscurity to an instantly flourishing career. Just after high school, this former victor of teen beauty pageants (and Hollywood hopeful) hit the road with her mom and undertook a cross-country journey in the family car from the Kebbels' hometown of Winter Park, FL, straight to Southern California. In no time at all (reportedly less than one week), Kebbel auditioned for a recurring guest role on the WB's series comedy drama Gilmore Girls -- and was hired immediately by series producers, thus realizing instantly her dreams of becoming a respected Tinseltown actress. In the popular Gilmore program, Kebbel portrayed Lindsay Lister, the woman who dates, then marries, then divorces small-town hunk Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki). The turn lasted from the midpoint of season three (2003) into the fall of 2004, concluding with the Foresters' estrangement. Kebbel then graduated from the small to the big screen with a series of turns in high-profile but (unfortunately) consistently schlocky and critically maligned Hollywood films. Kebbel traveled as one of the few white passengers on a "jive" purple airplane commandeered by Snoop Dogg in the neo-blaxploitation comedy Soul Plane (2004), then received second billing as one of the busty, "all-American" campers (and the child sweetheart of the lead) in 2005's direct-to-video sexploitationer American Pie Presents: Band Camp. Kebbel's profile would continue to raise throughout the 2000's, as she appeared in films like John Tucker Must Die, The Grudge 2, and on popular shows like The Vampire Diaries, and 90210.
Jenny McCarthy
(Actor)
.. Lori
Born:
November 01, 1972
Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois, United States
Trivia:
Curvaceous blonde Jenny McCarthy has tried to forge an acting career based on the strength of her vivacious and sometimes raunchy persona, but has had only moderate success. Prior to entering the entertainment industry as a Playboy centerfold, McCarthy studied nursing at Southern Illinois University. While scrambling through her second year, she decided that modelling would be more lucrative and dropped out. Though she possesses a wholesome, athletic beauty, her figure proved too voluptuous for high fashion modelling, so she marched to the Chicago offices of Playboy, handed them photos of herself and ended up chosen Miss October 1993. She was subsequently elected Playmate of the Year. This, in turn, led to an erotic video pictorial. Despite her notoriety as a pinup girl, McCarthy's initial bid for stardom in Hollywood met with failure, until her manager/boyfriend Ray Manzella doggedly convinced executives at MTV to audition her for the network's upcoming game show Singled Out, a ludicrous riff on The Dating Game in which contestants made fools of themselves to win dates with beautiful or handsome strangers. She won the part of co-host and soon proved herself the show's one redeeming feature. Realizing her potential, the network hired McCarthy as a vee-jay and then allowed her to develop her own show, which ended up a short-lived sketch comedy show. She then starred in the short-lived NBC sitcom, The Jenny McCarthy Show (1997). She made her film debut with a tiny role in Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) and had her first major role in the abysmal comedy The Stupids, as a neurotic film star opposite comedian Tom Arnold. In 1998, McCarthy co-starred in David Zucker's BASEketball. She had a supporting role in the comedy Diamonds.McCarthy had the distinction of appearing on both Scream 3, and the spoof Scary Movie 3. She published two books about pregnancy and motherhood. She wrote and starred in the romantic comedy Dirty Love, but the film had a limited theatrical run. In 2006 she appeared as a very sexy mom in the teen comedy John Tucker Must Dies, and she gained some off-screen notoriety by being romantically involved with Jim Carrey. She joined The View as a co-host for a season in 2013. She is an outspoken advocate for autistic children, and courted some controversy when she defended the theory that immunization booster shots cause the disorder.
Penn Badgley
(Actor)
.. Scott Tucker
Born:
November 01, 1986
Birthplace: Baltimore, MD
Trivia:
Baltimore-born actor Penn Badgley first started landing a string of roles in his mid-teens, finding his first major part with the short-lived fantasy comedy series Do Over, on the WB. Then-16-year-old Badgley starred on that program as Joel Larsen, a 34-year-old loser salesman propelled back into his high-school body to relive his teenage years and alter the course of his adult life. Following the cancelation of that show, the WB provided Badgley with his next two major roles, though both turned out to be equally shortlived; he played Sam Tunney on the soapy drama The Mountain (2004) and Owen Gregory on the ensemble collegiate series drama The Bedford Diaries (2006). Shortly thereafter, Badgley could be seen in the high-school teen comedy John Tucker Must Die. It was in 2007 that the young actor finally found his first small-screen hit, when he was cast in a lead role on Gossip Girl, a teen drama on the fledgling CW network (itself a successor to the WB and UPN). The actor played Dan Humphrey, a Brooklyn-dwelling aspiring writer who goes to an elite private high school where his classmates are mostly Upper East Side snobs; the show became a big hit for the network, and gave Badgley his first taste of true stardom. In 2009, he took on a starring role in the remake of the classic '80s horror film The Stepfather. He went on to be in the high school sex comedy Easy A, and played one of the young corporate bankers forced to deal with the beginning of the financial collapse in Margin Call.

He appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and had a major part in The Bang Bang Club in 2010. Two years later he would be the lead in a pair of big-budget action spectacles - the notorious misfire John Carter, and the board-game inspired Battleship.
