It is the second day of the Big Alpine Race and no one has been able to cross the chasm except for Racer X. In a nearby lodge, Trixie, Sparky, Spritle, and Chim Chim await the passage of the storm. Two drivers deliver the news of what happened at the pass. Trixie and the gang leave in her helicopter to rescue Speed.The next morning, Speed regains consciousness, discovering that he is unable to see. Somehow, he finds the Mach 5 and starts its engine.
