James Villiers (Actor) .. Inspector Pryor
Born: January 01, 1930
Trivia: British supporting actor, onscreen from the '60s.
Suzanne Lloyd (Actor) .. Gabby Forest
Ivor Dean (Actor) .. Inspector Teal
Born: December 21, 1917
Died: August 10, 1974
Birthplace: London
Reginald Beckwith (Actor) .. Enderby
Born: November 02, 1908
Died: June 26, 1965
Trivia: British actor/writer Reginald Beckwith was a playwright and film critic in the years before the war. From 1941 through 1945, Beckwith was a BBC war correspondent; coincidentally, his first film as an actor was the 1940 flag-waver Freedom Radio. His best known play was the serio-comedy Boys in Brown, concerning a British borstal (boys' reformatory) and its kindhearted headmaster; apparently Beckwith had written the latter role with himself in mind, though it would be played by Jack Warner in the film version. From the late 1940s onward, Reginald Beckwith was a full-time character actor, playing variations on the fussy, nervous upper-class and executive types so popular in British films of the period.
Stanley Meadows (Actor) .. Bob Stryker
Harry Towb (Actor) .. Johnny Anworth
Born: July 27, 1925
Died: July 24, 2009
Trivia: From the 1950s through the late 2000s, Irish character actor Harry Towb enjoyed a prolific career that spanned half a century. He divided his time between stage, film, and television, working in each venue with great aplomb and dedication. Born in Larne, County Antrim, Ireland, the actor grew up in Belfast, then moved to England and essayed a series of stage roles during the 1950s, courtesy of various theatrical troupes. Cinematic roles generally typecast him as an Irish everyman, as evidenced by his contributions to The 39 Steps, Patton, Digby, The Biggest Dog in the World, and Carry on at Your Convenience. Meanwhile, in the theater, Towb excelled at everything from classical tragedy (Tiresias in Antigone) to contemporary musical comedy (Little Shop of Horrors). He remains best known to Britons, however, for his ongoing television work that cut across a broad spectrum of genres; programs that featured Towb included Z Cars, Moll Flanders, East Enders, and The Bill.
Dyson Lovell (Actor) .. Jim Fasson
Born: August 28, 1940
Clare Kelly (Actor) .. Mary Anworth
Born: February 25, 1922
Peter Jeffrey (Actor) .. Quincy
Born: April 18, 1929
Died: December 25, 1999
Birthplace: Bristol
Trivia: British actor Peter Jeffrey was a veteran of nearly two decades on stage when he started appearing in films in the early 1960s. Jeffrey was billed last as one of King Henry's murderous barons in 1964's Becket. He had moved to the middle of the cast list by 1972, when he appeared as Inspector Trout in The Abominable Dr. Phibes, a role he repeated in 1973's Dr. Phibes Rises Again. Though seldom cited by the critics for his efforts, Peter Jeffrey is a stalwart member of the "authority figure" ranks in British films.
