Michael B. Jordan (Actor) .. Oscar Grant
Born: February 09, 1987
Birthplace: Santa Ana, California, United States
Trivia: Took tap-dancing lessons as a youngster. Modelled for Modell's Sporting Goods and Toys"R"Us. Appeared in Pleasure P's 2008 music video for "Did You Wrong." Provided the voice of Jace in the video game Gears of War 3. Was homeschooled but was allowed to play on the basketball team at New Jersey's Newark Arts High School. Once received a $40,000 royalty check that was supposed to be sent to NBA great Michael Jordan, who starred in Space Jam. The catchphrase "Where's Wallace?", a reference to his teen drug-dealer role in HBO's The Wire, became popular among fans of the series. His middle name, Bakari, is Swahili and means "of noble promise."
Melonie Diaz (Actor) .. Sophina
Born: April 25, 1984
Birthplace: New York City, New York
Trivia: When the unconventionally attractive actress Melonie Diaz took her onscreen bow at the outset of the millennium, she quickly racked up a series of roles in well-respected, intelligent films, consistently transcending the pitfall of ethnic typecast from project to project. Throughout, Diaz specialized in portraying unapologetically individualistic and self-assertive young urban women. Diaz began with prominent billing, as one of the key supporting actors in the well-received coming-of-age comedy drama Raising Victor Vargas (2002). Additional assignments included supporting roles in such critical darlings as Lords of Dogtown (2005) and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) before the actress landed her first lead, in Jamie Babbit's highly praised indie comedy drama Itty Bitty Titty Committee (2007). In that picture, Diaz played Anna, a young and single lesbian whose life turns an unforeseen corner when she joins a sub-rosa group of militant graffiti painters. In 2008, she appeared in Michel Gondry's comedy Be Kind Rewind alongside Jack Black and Mos Def.
Octavia L. Spencer (Actor) .. Wanda
Born: May 25, 1972
Birthplace: Montgomery, Alabama, United States
Trivia: Alabama native Octavia Spencer was working as part of the crew for the 1996 thriller A Time to Kill when she was handed the chance of a lifetime: Director Joel Schumacher thought she was right for a small role in the film, and Spencer's acting career was born. In addition to honing her craft on the professional stages of Los Angeles, Spencer continued to act on screen, appearing in a multitude of projects, including Never Been Kissed, Blue Streak, Big Momma's House, Dinner for Schmucks, and Peep World. Spencer also became a familiar TV face, with starring and recurring roles on LAX, Ugly Betty, Halfway Home, and Raising the Bar. A major boon for Spencer arrived in 2011 when, after 15 years in the industry, her performance in the critically acclaimed period movie The Help earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Kevin Durand (Actor) .. Officer Caruso
Born: January 14, 1974
Birthplace: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Trivia: Per his appearance, the stark-faced and rough-hewn character actor Kevin Durand built a successful career tackling tough-guy, redneck, and villain roles in such films as Walking Tall (2004), Smokin' Aces (2007), and 3:10 to Yuma (2007). His resumé also includes appearances on such small-screen programs as Dark Angel and Stargate SG-1. In 2008, Durand began a recurring role on the hit TV series Lost, playing mercenary Martin Keamy. After that high-profile gig, Durand returned to films, where his career picked up speed. He played The Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and followed that up with Legion (where he played the archangel Gabriel) and Robin Hood (playing Little John), both in 2010. By playing supporting roles, Durand managed to appear in an average of three films a year for the next several years, playing commanders (2011's I Am Number Four), soldiers (Barry Burton in 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution), shadowhunters (2013's The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) and biblical figures (2014's Noah).
Ahna O'reilly (Actor) .. Katie
Born: February 17, 1985
Birthplace: Palo Alto, California, United States
Trivia: Her family moved to France when she was 6, and settled in a town in the Alps. Her mother had her and her two sisters audition for roles in a regional-theater production of The Sound of Music in order to keep busy, and they were chosen to play the Von Trapp daughters. As a teen, she and her siblings helped their mother develop a game similar to Go Fish, but with cards that depicted works by Renaissance artists. Her family were extras in the 2004 thriller Dinocroc. Credits her friendship with Octavia Spencer for helping her land a role in the hit 2012 film The Help. She and other cast members of The Help studied the PBS civil-rights series Eyes on the Prize and the documentary Yes Ma'am to prepare for their roles as black maids and white employers.
Chad Michael Murray (Actor) .. Officer Ingram
Born: August 24, 1981
Birthplace: Buffalo, New York, United States
Trivia: Possessing the sort of moody good looks that can melt the hearts of teenage girls everywhere, actor Chad Michael Murray impressed television audiences early on with his role on the popular family drama series Gilmore Girls. Later breaking into feature territory with roles in the apocalyptic Megiddo: Omega Code 2 and Freaky Friday, the up-and-comer seemed poised to become the next Josh Hartnett. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Murray gave his family a taste of his talent early on when the assured young entertainer kept them in stitches with a series of amusing skits and songs. A career in high-school athletics was cut short when the gridiron runner was sidelined with a serious football injury, and it was during his recovery that a nurse persuaded Murray to pursue a career in modeling. Subsequently awarded a modeling scholarship from a nearby Buffalo agency, Murray was spotted by a Hollywood talent scout during a convention in Orlando and convinced to try his hand at acting. With high school behind him and stars in his eyes, the handsome young model made for the West Coast while supporting himself with a series of modeling jobs. As with many L.A. newcomers, Murray's early career consisted mainly of supporting performances in such shows as Diagnosis Murder, and in 2001, his profile was given a considerable boost with roles on both Dawson's Creek and Gilmore Girls. A feature debut in Megiddo was quick to follow, and in 2003, Murray strapped on the famous identity-concealing mask for the lead in the made-for-TV remake The Lone Ranger. A role opposite teen sensation Lindsay Lohan in the Disney remake Freaky Friday offered Murray some prime exposure, with One Tree Hill finding him returning to the small screen as a basketball-playing teen who shares a dark secret with his estranged brother. After appearing opposite Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff in the romantic teen comedy A Cinderella Story (2004), Murray moved into darker territory with the horror remake House of Wax (also 2004). With One Tree Hill a hit, Murray focused on his TV show, starring on the show until 2009 and making occasional guest appearances in later seasons. He starred in Day One (2012) and had a supporting role in the Sundance hit Fruitvale Station (2013). In 2014, he starred in Left Behind opposite Nicolas Cage. The following year, he returned to television, with a lead role in the Marvel series Agent Carter.
