Treat Williams (Actor) .. Michael Peterson
Born: December 01, 1951
Died: June 12, 2023
Birthplace: Rowayton, Connecticut, United States
Trivia: After attending Franklin and Marshall College, Treat Williams acted with the prestigious Fulton Repertory troupe. Williams made his Broadway debut in Grease (1976) eventually taking over the leading role of Danny Zuko. His later Broadway credits included the musicals Over Here and Pirates of Penzance and the reader's-theatre exercise Love Letters. In films from 1976, he scored his first significant success as the draft-resistant protagonist of Milos Forman's Hair (1979). He went on to play the title role in The Pursuit of D. B. Cooper (1981), then gained positive critical notice for his work as reluctant interdepartmental police informant Daniel Ciello in Prince of the City (1981). His later film roles included mob-connected labor organizer Jimmy O'Donnell in Once Upon a Time in America (1984) and the seductive James Dean clone in Smooth Talk (1985). Famed for his willingness to tackle any sort of role, Williams' artistic ambitions are backed up by his versatility and astonishing vocal flexibility. On TV, Williams played Stanley Kowalski opposite Ann-Margret's Blanche Dubois in Streetcar Named Desire (1984) and was appropriately sharkish as superagent Mike Ovitz in The Late Shift (1996). He also starred in the weekly series Eddie Dodd (1991) and Good Advice (1995). Many of Treat Williams' recent film roles have exhibited a fondness for expansive, scenery-chewing villainy, notably megalomanic Xander Drax in The Phantom (1995).
Kevin Pollak (Actor) .. David Rudolf
Born: October 30, 1957
Birthplace: San Fernando, California, United States
Trivia: It sounds apocryphal, but it's true: 13-year-old Kevin Pollak did begin his Bar Mitzvah speech with "A funny thing happened on the way to the temple..." In fact, Pollak's rabbi had encouraged him to do so: even at this early stage, the boy evinced a gift for comic timing. By 17, he was doing stand-up in his native San Francisco. He went on to play the West Coast comedy-club and improv circuit, and was briefly teamed with Dana Carvey, a professional collaboration that ended amicably when Carvey was hired by Saturday Night Live. Though Pollak himself didn't make it to SNL, he flourished as an impressionist, writer and film and TV supporting actor. He was given several opportunities to shine in such films as Barry Levenson's Avalon (1990), Mick Jackson's LA Story (1991) and Rob Reiner's A Few Good Men (1992). Reiner went on to team Pollak with Bob Amaral in the weekly TVer Morton and Hayes (1991) a hit-and-miss homage to the 2-reel comedies of the 1930s and 1940s (Pollak had previously played a featured role in the short-lived 1988 sitcom Coming of Age). Kevin Pollak's film career went into warp-drive in the 1990s, with such choice roles as Jacob in the two Grumpy Old Men flicks, Todd Hockney in The Usual Suspects (1995), Phillip Green in Casino (1995), and Boss Vic Koss in That Thing You Do (1996).His film and television career still going strong into the 2000s, Pollak found a way to work his passion for poker into his schedule as host of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2003, and in 2009 he launched a weekly internet series entitled Kevin Pollak's Chat Show.
Samaire Armstrong (Actor) .. Caitlin Atwater
Born: October 31, 1980
Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
Trivia: Samaire Armstrong's unique first name is Gaelic for "dawning sun," but despite choosing their daughter's name for its beautiful meaning, Armstrong's parents didn't actually know how to pronounce the name for the first three months of her life. They pronounced it "Sam-Air" until they happened to meet a Gaelic man, who explained that it was in fact pronounced "Sam-eer-ah." The girl with the curious name was born in Japan, and her family lived there, and then in Hawaii, before finally settling in Arizona, where young Armstrong did most of her growing up. She excelled in the theater arts in high school, and she briefly attended the University of Arizona before leaving, frustrated by the fact that freshmen weren't allowed to participate in theatrical productions. Armstrong decided to get started with her career and by 2000, at age 20, she'd done so, appearing in two episodes of the cult favorite Freaks and Geeks. Roles followed in films like Not Another Teen Movie before she scored a career-making gig with a recurring role on the hit show The O.C. While she wasn't made a member of the regular cast, Armstrong became a fan favorite, playing the crucial third member of a love triangle between her character, Anna, her good friend Seth, and Seth's long-time crush, Summer. The O.C. eventually came to an end in 2006, but by 2004, Armstrong had a second series in which she regularly appeared, showing up on the hit HBO program Entourage as agent Ari's assistant, Emily, whom Eric dates briefly. The actress also began stretching her acting muscles on the big screen with roles in Just My Luck, It's a Boy Girl Thing, The Staircase Murders, and Rise: Blood Hunter.Armstrong would faind continued success over the coming years, appearing most notably on shows like Dirty Sexy Money and The Mentalist.
