Trivia: May 31, 1949, University of Missouri graduate Tom Berenger began his theater work in regional repertory. Once he hit New York, he was employed in several TV soap operas, most prominently as the ill-fated Timmy Siegel on One Life to Live. His first film acting ranged from the grittier urban demands of Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) to the cavalier heroics of Butch and Sundance: The Early Days (1979). After such relatively sympathetic assignments as The Big Chill in 1983, Berenger followed in the role of the sociopathic, battle-scarred Sergeant Barnes in Platoon (1986), a performance that earned him an Oscar nomination. This did not, however, stop the versatile actor from trying future good-guy roles like the irresponsible baseball player in Major League (1988). Berenger continued to successfully fluctuate between heroes and villains into the '90s, with a few side trips into television, notably in an amusing, unheralded guest stint in the waning days of the sitcom Cheers. In 1998, he gave a particularly good portrayal of a villainous low life in Robert Altman's adaptation of John Grisham's The Gingerbread Man. Berenger continued to take on supporting roles, and starred in TNT's short-lived television series Nightmares & Dreamscapes in 2006. Other notable work includes a role alongside Armand Assante and Busta Rhymes in the 2009 thriller Breaking Point, and his turn of the wealthy father of Robert Michael Fischer (Cillian Murphy) in 2010's Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page.

Trivia: Actor Ernie Hudson received his training at Wayne State, Yale School of Drama and the University of Minnesota. Following a hitch with the Marines, Hudson appeared in such stage productions as The Great White Hope, The Cage and Daddy Goodness. He made his earlier film appearance in 1976's Leadbelly. Most of us know Hudson best as Winston Zeddmore in the two Ghostbusters films, a role he repeated in Ray Parker Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" music video. His best--and most controversial--screen assignment was the The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992); Hudson played retarded handyman Solomon, virtually the only character in the film who doesn't buy into the "perfect" facade of homicidal baby-sitter Rebecca DeMornay. On TV, Ernie Hudson has been seen as Smythe in Highcliffe Manor (1977), undercover officer "Night Train" Lane in The Last Precinct (1986), and kleptomaniac cop Toby Baker in Broken Badges (1990). He had a memorable supporting part in the 1992 thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and appeared in Heart and Souls as well as the comedy Airheads. In 1994 he was cast in a prominent role in the action film The Crow, and followed that up in 1995 with part in Congo. In 1997 he started work on the HBO drama Oz, playing the warden of the meanest, cruelest inmates imaginable for six seasons. He co-starred with Sandra Bullock in the 2000 comedy Miss Congeniality. He continued to work steadily in projects as diverse as Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, The Ron Clark Story, and 2010's Smokin' Aces 2: Assassin's Ball.

Trivia: Julliard-trained actress Diane Venora made both her New York stage and film debut in 1981. The play was the off-Broadway production Penguin Touquet; the film was Wolfen. In 1983, Venora became the focus of voluminous press coverage for her appearance in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Hamlet--not as Ophelia or Gertrude, but in the title role! Her subsequent film roles included Gloria Swanson in The Cotton Club (1984), Ellen in FX (1986), Peg in Ironweed (1987), and, best of all, Chan Parker, the put-upon wife of jazz great Charlie Parker (Forest Whitaker), in director Clint Eastwood's Bird (1988). Trivia: From recording studios to Hollywood soundstages, singer/actor Marc Anthony has taken both the music and movie industries by storm. Born in New York City and named after legendary Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muñiz by his musician father, he eventually changed his name to Marc Anthony in order to avoid confusion. As a young talent, he belted out songs in his family's Spanish Harlem kitchen, his R&B influences shining through. In the years that followed, Anthony's reputation grew thanks to English-language performances in many New York clubs, and after teaming with producer "Little" Louie Vega for his record debut (When the Night Is Over) in 1991, Tito Puente asked Anthony to open the Latin jazz legend's Madison Square Garden revue in November of that year. Though Anthony had previously declined suggestions by his manager to record songs in Spanish, it was, ironically, a Spanish-language song that offered the singer his first true taste of success. Emotionally devastated after hearing Juan Gabriel's "Hasta Que Te Conoci" on the radio while driving around Manhattan, Anthony instinctively knew that this song was his destiny. In 1993, he went back into the studio to record his first Spanish track, and a searing performance at the Radio Y Musica Latin music convention shortly thereafter -- followed by a career-defining appearance on television's Carnaval Internacional later that same day -- changed his life forever. In the years that followed, Anthony not only established himself as an electrifying stage presence, but a talented actor, as well. After kicking off his screen career with a supporting role in the 1988 musical comedy East Side Story, he appeared as a performer in director Brian De Palma's acclaimed 1993 crime drama Carlito's Way. Supporting roles in Natural Causes (1994) and Hackers (1995) were quick to follow, and, in 1996, Anthony landed his first major film role in Stanley Tucci's Big Night. Impressive performances in Martin Scorsese's Bringing Out the Dead (1999) and the romantic drama In the Time of Butterflies (2001) followed. Meanwhile, his singing career was still going strong with such albums as Libre (2001) and Mended (2002). Anthony returned to the screen in 2004 with a role in the Denzel Washington vehicle Man on Fire.He married Jennifer Lopez in 2004, and their union produced twins before ending in divorce in 2012. The couple would also make a movie together, El Cantante, about the famous singer Hector Lavoe. Trivia: Dreadlocked character actor Glenn Plummer began his acting career on television during the late '80s. He appeared in the TV movies The Women of Brewster Place, Heat Wave, and Deadlock. On the big screen, he played thug High Top in Dennis Hopper's crime drama Colors and rookie pitcher Tyrone in the baseball movie Pastime. In 1992, he landed his first starring role as an ex-convict father who wants the best for his son in Steve Anderson's compelling drama South Central. After supporting roles in Trespass, Menace II Society, and Speed, he made a brief return to television to play staff member Timmy Rawlins during the first season of ER. Cliff De Young (Actor) .. Wolfson

Trivia: American actor Cliff DeYoung began a stop-and-start film career with Pilgrimage in 1972; most of his work for the next several years was on stage and in television. DeYoung starred in the very brief 1975 TV series Sunshine, playing a widowed musician raising a young stepdaughter; the series was a spin-off of the 1973 TV movie of the same name, which also starred DeYoung. The actor also played the lead role of a blinded Vietnam vet in the Joseph Papp-produced CBS drama special Sticks and Bones (1973) which was blacked out by many affiliates due to its vitriolic antiwar stance. Three years later, DeYoung played Charles Lindbergh (to whom he bore a daunting resemblance) in the 1976 made-for-TV Lindbergh Kidnapping Case. After his attention-grabbing appearance in the 1983 horror film The Hunger, Cliff DeYoung concentrated on movie roles, with occasional returns to TV in such productions as the 1985 miniseries Robert Kennedy and His Times.

Trivia: Moving easily from comedies to drama, character actor William "Bill" Forsythe has been busy in feature films since the early '80s, when he debuted with a small role in Smokey Bites the Dust (1981). In addition, he frequently appears on television and on stage, where he launched his career. The stocky, moon-faced, and gap-toothed Brooklyn native began acting in local productions in his early teens and by age 16, had become a professional, appearing on and off Broadway. As a young man, Forsythe moved to Southern California. Shortly after his film debut, he also made his first television appearance in the TV-movie The Miracle of Kathy Miller. This started him on a series of guest-starring roles on shows ranging from CHiPS to Fame. At this early stage, Forsythe was usually cast in villainous roles, as in his breakthrough feature Once Upon a Time in America (1984), in which he played the sweet-faced but ruthless gangster Cockeye. One of Forsythe's most memorable performances was also his first lead, that of a rebellious wheelchair-bound patient who turns a hospital ward topsy-turvy, in the ensemble piece The Waterdance (1991).
