Tony Anthony
(Actor)
.. The Stranger
Born:
October 16, 1937
Trivia:
The redundantly monikered Tony Anthony didn't fare too well in Hollywood, where he was just another handsome face and husky physique. He packed his body-building equipment and headed to Europe, where he brought in a respectable amount of box-office business as a star of Italian "spaghetti westerns" and costume actioners. As late as 1983, Anthony was pleasing the crowd in such sword-and-sandal epics as Treasure of the Four Crowns (1983). A producer as well as actor, Tony Anthony was responsible for Comin' at Ya!, a 1981 attempt to revive the 3-D craze of the 1950s.
