Nik and Maria chose to remove themselves and their family from civilization and live freely in the forest. They succeed at raising their four children there until Maria passes away. Nik makes the difficult decision to move his family back to the city. But even as the family struggles to cope with their new reality, the struggle even more to come to terms with the death of their matriarch.
