Brittany Snow (Actor)
Born: March 09, 1986
Birthplace: Tampa, Florida, United States
Trivia: The photogenic and fair-haired Brittany Snow traveled the path of Brooke Shields and others by going to work as a model at the age of three. Born in Tampa to John and Cynthia Snow on March 9, 1986, Brittany appeared on the small screen from the age of eight -- when she landed a number of spots on the Spielberg-produced SeaQuest DSV, starring Roy Scheider -- not a bad start for an elementary schooler. Snow later voiced Shizuku in the Americanized version of Hayao Miyazaki's Whisper of the Heart. In the fall of 2000, she enrolled as a freshman in the Tampa-area's Gaither High School, a public secondary institution. At the age of 16, Snow signed for one of the central roles on NBC's coming-of-age series American Dreams, a kind of Wonder Years update. Set about five years before that series began, Dreams opened in 1963 with the Kennedy assassination. As Meg Pryor, a high schooler with a much-coveted job as an American Bandstand dancer (and two romances -- one with a Bandstand participant, the other with a record store employee), Snow stole viewers' hearts and helped propel the series to a four-season run. After a supporting role in the 2005 Vin Diesel comedy The Pacifier, Snow found her broadest exposure in two 2006 releases. That year's black comedy John Tucker Must Die (by Hill Street Blues alum and Private Parts director Betty Thomas) unofficially reworks -- and sanitizes -- the Dangerous Liasons formula, with Snow and two other teen heartthrobs (Ashanti and Sophia Bush) as disgruntled high schoolers determined to give the class stud a comeuppance by hiring a girl to break his heart. The film received so-so reviews and opened in late July 2006 to predictably decent box office. Snow landed her first big-screen lead in the same year's On the Doll (directed by Thomas Mignone) , as Balery, a stripper. In spring 2006, she signed with Kristin Cavallari to star in the psychological thriller Fingerprints for Harry Basil (Meet Wally Sparks Cloud Nine). Snow decided to return to network TV in 2010 when she signed on to play a lawyer's assistant in David E. Kelly's midseason legal drama Harry's Law. Offscreen, she is active with the Jed Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing emotional stress and preventing suicide among college students.Snow lives with her mother in Florida.
Scott Porter (Actor)
Born: July 14, 1979
Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska, United States
Trivia: Nebraska native Scott Porter got his acting feet wet in an off-Broadway production of the play Altar Boyz, and can be heard on the original cast recording of the show's soundtrack. He began working in front of the camera with a recurring role on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns in 2006, before being cast as wheelchair-bound Jason Street on the popular series Friday Night Lights, a show based on the movie of the same name, about a small town in Texas where high-school football is among the most important things in life. In 2007, Porter played the former bandmate of Hugh Grant in the romantic comedy Music and Lyrics; he then signed on to appear in the remake of the classic horror film Prom Night, as well as the live-action adaptation of the old-school anime series Speed Racer. Porter co-starred with Channing Tatum for two movies in a row, 2010's Dear John, based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, and 2012's Ten Years, taking place at a high school reunion. He also had recurring roles on Syfy's Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica and the CBS legal drama The Good Wife. In the years to come, Porter remained active on screen, notably appearing in the CW's Hart of Dixie, playing George Tucker.
Jessica Stroup (Actor)
Born: October 23, 1986
Birthplace: Anderson, South Carolina, United States
Trivia: Charlotte, NC, native Jessica Stroup graduated to acting by way of fashion modeling (much of it print-oriented); a veteran of Edge Management and Los Angeles' Osbrink Agency, Stroup did advertisements for such brands as Velveeta, Honda, and Dentine (whose executives promptly enlisted her as the "Dentine Ice Girl") and struck a memorably alluring pose in Glamour magazine. From such heights, it was only a short leap to the big screen and to telemovies; as an ingenue, Stroup followed the path of many an ascendant actress by eking out a screen presence in grisly fright-fests. Early projects included Pray for Morning (2006), The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007), and Prom Night (2008). She was cast in the 90210 reboot in 2008 and the next year she appeared in the thriller Homecoming.
Dana Davis (Actor)
Born: October 04, 1984
Birthplace: Davenport, Iowa, United States
Trivia: A frequent small-screen presence during the mid- to late 2000s -- in a variety of blockbuster prime-time programs -- Iowa-born actress Dana Davis built her reputation as a sturdy and reliable guest actor in such series outings as Boston Public, Gilmore Girls, and Veronica Mars. She scored a regular role on fall 2006's much-hyped dramatic series The Nine, playing Felicia Jones, but the show failed to sustain viewers and didn't last a full season. Nonetheless, Davis bounced back the next season with a coveted part on the hit sci-fi drama series Heroes, playing a character named Monica. In late 2007, Davis signed on to appear in the remake of the slasher movie classic Prom Night (to be released the following year), directed by Nelson McCormick. In 2009 she was cast in the debut season of the small-screen adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You.
Collins Pennie (Actor)
Born: June 20, 1985
Trivia: A veteran of television, Collins Pennie began his career with a stint on As the World Turns and also guest-starred on shows like CSI: Miami and Without a Trace. He launched his big-screen career in the late 2000s with small supporting roles, including parts in Ryan Fleck's drug-laced inner-city drama Half Nelson (2006) and Nelson McCormick's slasher outing remake Prom Night (2008). In 2009, he was cast as Malik in the remake of the musical Fame.

Brianne Davis (Actor)
Born: April 21, 1982
Kellan Lutz (Actor)
Born: March 15, 1985
Birthplace: Dickinson, North Dakota, United States
Trivia: Actor Kellan Lutz has a face that feels eerily familiar, partly because of his many appearances on shows like CSI and Six Feet Under and partly because even before his acting career took off Lutz's face could be seen gracing the pages of Abercrombie catalogs. The model-turned-actor soon graduated from TV to film roles with appearances in movies like Stick It and Prom Night, and by the time he was 23, he'd been cast in the role of Emmett Cullen in the highly anticipated 2008 film adaptation of the young-adult novel Twilight, making him an even more familiar face to legions of fans. Lutz would remain active for the next several years, appearing in the Twilight sequels, as well as movies like A Warrior's Heart.
Mary Mara (Actor)
Born: September 21, 1960
Ming Wen (Actor)
Johnathon Schaech (Actor)
Born: September 10, 1969
Birthplace: Edgewood, Maryland, United States
Trivia: Tall, dark, and very handsome, Johnathon Schaech has all of the physical attributes one would expect of a leading man. Despite his appearance, however, Schaech has eluded true stardom, appearing in films that allow him to showcase his talent without providing the opportunity for the actor to make a solid splash in the mainstream.Born in Edgewood, MD, in 1969, Schaech was a model before being cast in his first role, in a 1993 film called The Webbers. Co-starring David Arquette and Jennifer Tilly, the film was mired in obscurity, much like Schaech's next effort, Franco Zefferelli's Storia Di Una Capinera or Sparrows (1993). It was director Gregg Araki who gave Schaech his first real break, when he cast him as a dangerous, perpetually aroused drifter in his 1995 film The Doom Generation. Ecstatically bad-mannered and filled with an abundance of sex, violence, and severed heads, the film became something of a cult classic and gave Schaech a limited dose of fame. The scope of his fame was widened a little bit with his next significant picture, How to Make an American Quilt (1995). As one of the token Y-chromosome bearers in a virtually all-female cast, Schaech made a favorable impression with many filmgoers in his role as Winona Ryder's lifeguard suitor. His notices were favorable enough to get him a leading part in Tom Hanks' 1996 film That Thing You Do! and the title role of the made-for-cable Houdini (1998). Along with these relative successes came the requisite flops, among them 1997's Welcome to Woop Woop, which featured a memorably bizarre title and little else, and Hush (1998), in which Schaech played the son of a completely crackers Jessica Lange. In 1999, Schaech had another shot at cult stardom when he again collaborated with Araki on Splendor, which had its debut at the Sundance Film Festival. The same year, he was also cast in the Jennifer Love Hewitt series, Fox's The Time of Your Life.
Idris Elba (Actor)
Born: September 06, 1972
Birthplace: London, England
Trivia: Born in London on September 6, 1972, and raised in the Hackney borough, Elba pursued acting as a high school student at the behest of a drama teacher. Elba paid his dues with many supporting roles on British television, including such series as Bramwell, The Bill, Degrees of Error, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, and The Governor. The actor grew deeply frustrated, however, over the seemingly irrepressible tendency of British casting directors to peg him in supporting roles. "Back in London," he later recalled, "I was always just going to be the best friend, or the crook or the detective on the side." When Elba could take no more of this, he immigrated to the United States. Within a few years, Elba landed a starring role on what would come to be known as one of the best TV series of all time, The Wire.Elba's performance as pusher "Stringer" Bell attained widespread popularity with viewers and helped put Elba on the map. Elba then transitioned into big-screen roles in movies like The Gospel, The Reaping, Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls, 28 Weeks Later, and the Alien prequel Prometheus. Elba also enjoyed more stateside TV success on shows like The Office and Luther.
Jessalyn Gilsig (Actor)
Born: November 30, 1971
Birthplace: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Trivia: Montreal native Jessalyn Gilsig began her acting career at age 12 doing voice-over work, and went on to study acting at Harvard's American Repertory Theater. She appeared in several off-Broadway productions and landed bit parts in big movies, such as Jacknife with Robert De Niro and The Horse Whisperer with Robert Redford, but TV was where she found the most success. In the late 1990s, she appeared on Viper, Seven Days, and The Practice, where she met David E. Kelley. He then cast her as Paula Marshall's replacement on Snoops, but the show was cancelled before Gilsig's episodes aired. But that misfire led Kelley to create the role of social studies teacher Lauren Davis on Boston Public specifically for her. Later, Gilsig met another influential producer, Ryan Murphy, who cast her as sexaholic Gina Russo on Nip/Tuck, and later as conniving Terri Schuester on Glee. Her other notable TV appearances include recurring roles on NYPD Blue, Prison Break, Friday Night Lights, Heroes, and Vikings. When Gilsig isn't working, she enjoys painting; several of her artworks appeared in the 2003 indie film The Station Agent.

Ross Partridge (Actor)
Born: February 26, 1968
Trivia: Ross Partridge began his career as character actor who specialized in playing everymen (often with an urban edge). He first bowed with a small role in the 1992 Christian Slater police comedy Kuffs, then landed a lead in the direct-to-video shocker Amityville: A New Generation (1993) and a bit part in Steven Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997). Shortly thereafter, Partridge became involved with Kevin Spacey's production shingle, Trigger Street Productions, a label that backed his debut as a writer/director, the little-seen and critically panned mystery-psychodrama hybrid Interstate 84 (2000). Partridge's work as a producer for Trigger continued unabated for a time despite the middling success of this debut, with the up-and-comer placing his strongest emphasis on documentaries, notably the 2002 efforts Uncle Frank and America Rebuilds: A Year at Ground Zero. Within a few years, however, he returned to work in front of the camera, with a recurring part in the daytime soap opera As the World Turns, and roles in the A-list shocker Prom Night and the Duplass Brothers' indie darling Baghead (2008).

Joshua Leonard (Actor)
Born: June 17, 1975
Birthplace: Houston, Texas, United States
Trivia: Joshua Leonard melded his prior indie film experience on- and off-camera and achieved unexpected fame in the low-budget horror blockbuster The Blair Witch Project (1999). After doing theater as a child, Leonard worked in production, as well as acting, in independent and experimental films in New York. Cast as the steadfast cameraman Josh in The Blair Witch Project, Leonard balanced shooting the film's 16mm footage with improvising the increasingly-eerie turn of events, along with fellow cast members Heather Donahue and Michael Williams -- according to directors Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez's fleeting instructions. Savvily-marketed through an Internet site as a "documentary" about an actual, lethal legend after its buzz-generating midnight debut at the Sundance Film Festival, The Blair Witch Project became an enormous summer hit, frightening audiences with its all-too-real sense of impending -- if unseen -- danger. Fans expressed relief that Leonard and his cohorts had not in fact come to their ends in the Maryland woods. After his sudden exit from The Blair Witch Project, Leonard continued working on independent films and moved to L.A. He continued to work in smaller, independent films and appear on the festival circuits promoting his work. Leonard starred in Higher Ground (2011), the directorial debut of Vera Farmiga, and also made his own feature film directorial debut with The Lie. In 2014, he appeared in If I Stay and The Town That Dreaded Sunset and prominent guest roles on Togetherness and Bates Motel. In 2015, he joined the series Heartbreaker as a series regular.

In the third grade, Ming-Na played a bunny rabbit in a school play, and she was fascinated with the theater from that moment on; after graduating from high school, Ming-Na enrolled in Carnegie-Mellon University, where she graduated with honors and received a degree in theater. Ming-Na moved to New York to pursue an acting career, and in 1988, she was cast as Lien Hughes on As the World Turns, making her the first Asian-American to appear as a regular on a daytime drama. Ming-Na continued on the show until 1991, after which she continued to work in the theater and appeared in a pair of made-for-TV movies before she was cast in The Joy Luck Club, Wayne Wang's popular screen adaptation of the best-selling novel by Amy Tan. Ming-Na next took a left turn into the action-drama Street Fighter, but in 1995 she became part of the ensemble cast of the popular and award-winning television series E.R., playing Dr. Deb Chen. At the same time, she was also cast in the sitcom The Single Guy as Trudy, the hipper-than-thou gallery owner. Ming-Na lives with her husband and daughter in Los Angeles, and when not occupied with her busy schedule of film and television work, she helps with production and management for the Asian-American harmony group At Last.
