William Katt (Actor) .. Roger Cobb
Born: February 16, 1951
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, United States
Trivia: The son of actors Bill Williams and Barbara Hale, curly-haired leading man William Katt is fond of noting that he made his movie "debut" while residing in his mother's womb during filming of Lorna Doone (1951). After attending Orange Coast College, Katt pursued a career as a musician. He then made his formal acting bow in summer stock and small TV roles. Among Katt's film credits are the role of the high-school jock date of telekinetic wallflower Sissy Spacek in Carrie (1977), and one-half of the title role in Butch and Sundance, The Early Days (1979). From 1981 through 1983, Katt played the reluctant-superhero protagonist (originally named Ralph Hinkley, redubbed Ralph Hanley after the '81 assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan) on TV's Greatest American Hero. Beginning in 1987, Katt played the recurring role of detective Paul Drake Jr. in the periodic Perry Mason TV movies, co-starring with his mother Barbara Hale, who resumed her "Della Street" characterization from the original 1961-66 Mason run. Katt also worked on the scripts of several of these latter-day Masons. More recently, William Katt was a regular on the 1991 Farrah Fawcett-Ryan O'Neal TV sitcom Good Sports.
George Wendt (Actor) .. Harold Gorton
Born: October 17, 1948
Died: May 20, 2025
Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois, United States
Trivia: There's no mystery concerning the hometown of George Wendt. The heavyset, curly haired actor never misses a talk show opportunity to cheer on his beloved Chicago "Cubbies" or "Da Bears." After theater work in Chicago and New York and a handful of TV appearances on sitcoms like M*A*S*H and Alice, Wendt inaugurated his signature role of burly, unemployed barfly Norm Peterson on TV's long-running Cheers (1983-1993); so far as it can be determined, he still hasn't paid his bar tab, which according to TV Guide totalled up to 64,218 dollars at the end of 11 seasons. He starred in the short-lived The George Wendt Show, and continued to work steadily on both the small and big screen in a variety of projects including Spice World, Outside Providence, Teddy Bears' Picnic, and Edmond. He also reprised his iconic role of Norm on an episode of the successful Cheers spinoff Frasier.
Richard Moll (Actor) .. Big Ben
Born: January 13, 1943
Birthplace: Pasadena, California, United States
Trivia: Six feet tall by the time he was twelve, Richard Moll would eventually peak at 6'8". To ward off jokes about his height, Moll adopted the "class clown" pose in school, eventually developing a taste for play-acting. Moving from his hometown of Pasadena to Hollywood in 1968, Moll spent the next decade or so with various theatrical troupes, and for a while toured schools in the role of Abraham Lincoln. Whenever he made the movie and TV casting rounds, Moll was greeted with an astonished "What a monster!"; thus, a monster he became, playing a steady succession of "bikers and snake men and one-eyed mutants." He was one of the title characters in the 1972 TV movie Gargoyles, was seen as an abominable snowman in Caveman (1981), and played various and assorted hulking goons in such adventure flicks as Metalstorm (1982) and The Sword and the Sorceror (1984). He was finally allowed to exhibit his "human" side--not to mention his considerable flair for light comedy--as court guard Bull Shannon on the long-running (1984-92) TV sitcom Night Court. Back to monstrosities and villains again in the 1990s--this time by choice rather than necessity-- Richard Moll has continued appearing in sizeable (in more ways than one) TV guest-star roles, and has lent his vocal talents to the role of Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, in Batman: The Animated Series.
Kay Lenz (Actor) .. Sandy Sinclair
Born: March 04, 1953
Trivia: Thrushlike American actress Kay Lenz was most effectively cast as hippielike free spirits, even though she rose to prominence after the "flower child" craze had come and gone. After a lot of TV work, Lenz was given her big movie break in director Clint Eastwood's Breezy (1973) as the teenybopper girl friend of middle-aged businessman William Holden. Kay followed this triumph with an Emmy-winning performance in the 1974 ABC Afternoon Playbreak special "Hearts in Hiding." After another good movie assignment in the above-average Canadian actioner White Line Fever, Kay was cast as one of the title characters in The Great Scout and Cathouse Thursday (1976), portraying a gold-hearted (and light-headed) whore in the old west. Though heavily promoted, the film was a failure, and Lenz had to step down from the ranks of Movie Star to become an actress again -- which she did, in the TV miniseries Rich Man Poor Man. Amidst indifferent movie roles, solid TV work and occasional cartoon voiceover assignments, Kay returned to the forefront of public consciousness in 1988, winning her second Emmy for her guest role as an embittered AIDS victim on the TV series Midnight Caller. This scorching performance assured that Kay Lenz would never, ever be written off as merely the wife of one-time teen idol David Cassidy.
Mary Stavin (Actor) .. Tanya
Born: August 20, 1957
Michael Ensign (Actor) .. Chet Parker
Born: February 13, 1944
Birthplace: Safford, Arizona
Susan French (Actor) .. Aunt Elizabeth
Born: January 23, 1912
Died: April 06, 2003
Alan Autry (Actor) .. Cop
Born: July 31, 1952
Birthplace: Shreveport, Louisiana
Trivia: Alan Autry is best known by television audiences for his portrayal of police officer Bubba Skinner on the series In the Heat of the Night. Born Carlos Brown in Shreveport, LA, he was raised in Riverdale, CA, and became a star athlete and football player at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1975 and spent two years as a second string quarterback for the team. In 1978, he joined the British Columbia Lions in the Canadian Football League, and that same year he made his acting debut (as Carlos Brown) in Remember My Name. In 1979, he appeared in a small role in North Dallas Forty, and he portrayed Slug in Popeye (1980). Still working under his given name, he appeared in series such as Best of the West, and he was first noticed in a serious way in movies in 1982, with his portrayal of Bowden, one of the doomed National Guardsmen, in Southern Comfort. By 1983, he was working as Alan Autry, and got guest roles in series such as The A-Team and Cheers. Finally, in 1988, Autry was chosen for the role of Sergeant (later Captain) Bubba Skinner in the series In the Heat of the Night -- his good looks, deep voice, and complex character, as a white Southerner who takes some time to get accustomed to the working methods of a black police detective (portrayed by Howard E. Rollins) from up north, made him stand out in the part, and Autry became one of the key members of the ensemble cast. Autry continued acting regularly after In the Heat of the Night concluded its run in the 1990s, until 2000, when he ran successfully for Mayor of Fresno, CA, and was elected to a four-year term, thus joining Clint Eastwood, Sonny Bono, Fred Thompson and Ronald Reagan in the ranks of actors elected to political office.
Steven Williams (Actor) .. Cop
Trivia: Supporting actor, onscreen from the '80s.
Ronn Carroll (Actor) .. Cop
Born: August 31, 1935
Jim Calvert (Actor) .. Grocery Boy
Mindy Sterling (Actor) .. Woman in Bookstore
Born: July 11, 1953
Trivia: A renowned character actress, Mindy Sterling honed her skills as a member of the Groundlings improv troupe in 1984. She had already begun building up her acting résumé by this time, making minor appearances on TV, and she would continue to find steady work with small but memorable roles, like as a writer on The Larry Sanders Show in 1992. Sterling's notoriety went up several notches in 1997, however, when she took on the role of stone-cold henchwoman Frau Farbissina in the Mike Myers comedy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. In the years following, the comedienne would reprise the role for two sequels, but she would also find significant work in television, landing regular roles on series like Robot Chicken, iCarly, and Chowder. She would also find success in the role of voice acting, lending her vocal talents to projects like Mars Needs Moms.

Trivia: Turned down an art scholarship to Ohio University. Studied to be a monk at the Self-Realization Fellowship Temple in Hollywood, where he worked as a cook and lived for three years before pursuing acting as a career. Trained as an actor at the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy. His role as Steve "Patch" Johnson on Days of Our Lives earned him widespread recognition among television viewers and once ranked him second in the TVQ ratings (Bill Cosby was #1). Nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1988 for Days of Our Lives. Provided the voice for IKEA for a publicity campaign. Has assisted efforts for Haitian relief in the wake of the 2010 earthquake. Taking on his 2010 role as businessman Tucker McCall on The Young and the Restless, he told writer Michael Fairman, had him scrambling to learn such terms as "takeover" and "dominant market share."

Jerry Maren (Actor) .. Little Critter
Born: January 24, 1920
Trivia: Diminutive actor Jerry Maren achieved his first coup as a performer (and an incredible one at that) in 1939, when cast as one of the Munchkins in Victor Fleming's seminal The Wizard of Oz. He subsequently built up a remarkably extensive resumé, from the early '40s through the late '90s, with portrayals of midgets, gremlins, mole men, and any other character parts that called for thespians of small stature. Seinfeld aficionados may recall Maren as the aging circus performer father of Kramer's buddy Mickey in "The Yada Yada," a 1997 episode of that sitcom. Maren made headlines in 2007, when -- after a period of onscreen inactivity -- he was selected for his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
