Trivia: A football star at Eastern Kentucky State College, Lee Majors came to Los Angeles armed with a physical education degree and possessed with a vague desire to break into films. He worked as a park recreation director for the City of Los Angeles before entering show business in 1963. Majors was promoted as "the New James Dean," though he personally aspired to become a new Steve McQueen or Paul Newman (he also retained his permit to work as a recreation director, just in case the world wasn't holding its breath for a new Dean, McQueen or Newman). Majors achieved stardom on his own merits in a variety of television series, the most recent of which was 1992's Raven. His best-known TV roles included Heath Barkley on The Big Valley (1965-69), bionic Steve Austin on The Six Million Dollar Man (1973-78) and stunt man Colt Seavers on The Fall Guy (1981-86). In addition, he has headlined a number of made-for-TV movies, essaying the old Gary Cooper part in the 1991 sequel to High Noon and portraying U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers in a 1976 biopic. Majors would continue to act in the decades to come, memorably appearing in Big Fat Liar and on The Game. For several years, Lee Majors was married to actress Farrah Fawcett.

Trivia: Many remember Cindy Morgan as the blonde bombshell Lacy Underall from 1980's Caddyshack, one of the actress' first roles, and definitely a memorable one. The Illinois native had appeared in one other movie, 1979's Up Yours, and subsequently wracked up a long résumé. In addition to playing Yori in 1982's Tron, Morgan made a massive number of guest appearances on TV shows ranging from The Fall Guy to Amazing Stories. She also enjoyed recurring roles on Bring Em Back Alive and Falcon Crest, and provided the voice of Emily S. Preston in the 2006 animated adventure Night Traveler.

Trivia: A British actor with a memorable face, Christopher Neame developed a reputation as a character actor in Hammer Horror films like Lust for a Vampire and Dracula A.D. in the early '70s. Able to convey an imposing feeling on screen, he would also find a niche playing bad guys on British TV shows, particularly those with a military bent, such as Lt. Dick Player on the prisoner drama Colditz, Kaiser Wilhelm II on Edward the King, and Flight Lt. John Curtis on Secret Army. During the '80s, Neame would make numerous appearances on American TV as well, making cameos on The A-Team and The Fall Guy. Neame's performance as Fallon in the 1989 Bond movie License to Kill struck a chord with audiences on both sides of the pond, and he would go on to serve his cult fan base with appearances on Star Trek: Voyager, Babylon 5, and Sliders throughout the '90s. By the 2000's, Neame had all but completely established himself as a veteran genre actor, appearing on The Invisible Man, Star Trek Enterprise, and in the Christopher Nolan film The Prestige.

Gainey built a career for himself as the prototypical onscreen lowlife. Gainey observed in an interview, "With a face like this, there aren't a lot of lawyers or priest roles coming my way. I've gotta face that was meant for a mug shot and that's what I've been doing for the past 30 years...by and large I play cowboys, bikers, and convicts."Born in Jackson, MS, in 1947, Gainey debuted onscreen -- effectively portraying a young police officer -- in Herbert Ross' fascinating, ambitious, and stillborn musical film version of the Dennis Potter miniseries Pennies from Heaven (alongside Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters, and Christopher Walken). Some might call Gainey's evocation of a cop uncharacteristic, given his later turns, but at least two additional roles as a policeman followed during the '80s, in John Carpenter's Starman (1984) and Sondra Locke's ill-advised sentimental fantasy Ratboy (1986). Gainey landed a number of additional assignments through the end of that decade, but his career did not fully catch fire until the '90s, when he sustained several turns per year. In the second, Alexander Payne's character comedy Sideways (2004), Gainey played the unnamed husband of waitress Cammi, who chases intruder Thomas Haden Church out of his house while fully naked.Gainey found his broadest exposure to date, however, as Mr. Friendly/Tom -- seemingly the leader of the Others and as enigmatic as can be -- in the blockbuster ABC series Lost.
