Derek Farr (Actor) .. John Clarron /Mrs. Jafferty
Born: February 07, 1912
Died: March 22, 1986
Birthplace: London
Trivia: Beginning his wage-earning years as a schoolteacher, Briton Derek Farr became a stage actor in 1937 and a movie leading man two years later. Upon returning from World War II service, Farr found that his days as romantic lead were numbered (save for occasional films like Shop at Sly Corner [46]); even so, he remained very much in demand for character roles. Farr co-starred as Group Captain J.N.H. Whitworth in The Dam Busters, the single most popular British film of 1955. Derek Farr's second wife was sprightly leading lady Muriel Pavlow, with whom Farr appeared in such films as Shop at Sly Corner and Doctor at Large (1957).
Shirley Eaton (Actor) .. Adrienne Halberd
Born: January 13, 1937
Birthplace: London, England
Trivia: Brassy blonde leading lady Shirley Eaton could be labelled the British equivalent of such American "blonde bombshells" as Barbara Nichols, Joyce Jameson and Joi Lansing. From her first film appearance in 1954 onward, Eaton excelled in roles calling for equal parts comic know-how and feminine pulchritude. Later in her career, Eaton essayed a number of straight dramatic roles. Shirley Eaton is best known for her brief assignment as the unfortunate gold-painted girl in the 1964 James Bond caper Goldfinger, though it was necessary to hire a voice actress to dub over Shirley's provincial speech patterns.
Patricia Roc (Actor) .. Madge Clarron
Born: June 07, 1918
Died: December 19, 2003
Trivia: Blonde, radiantly beautiful British actress Patricia Roc had only a few months of stage experience when she was cast in her first film, Taras Bulba (1938). Her popularity peaked in the mid-'40s, thanks to such escapist film fare as Madonna of the Seven Moons (1944) and Jassy (1947). During this decade, hardly a week went by without Roc's face adorning the cover of at least one of the leading British fan magazines; she was frequently voted "best actress" by movie exhibitors, more a reflection of her box-office pull than her talent. Active in films in England and the Continent until 1960, Patricia Roc also starred in two American productions, Canyon Passage (1946) and The Man on the Eiffel Tower (1949).
George Roderick (Actor) .. Mario
