Although anyone can be affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society claims Hispanics often face more severe symptoms at an earlier age than others with the disorder. Medical Stories sat down with two Hispanic women who were diagnosed with MS. Nancy is a mother of four in Joshua, Texas, who feared her condition meant she would face the same fate as her brother, who died of the disease.
