Ian Ziering (Actor) .. Fin Shepherd
Born: March 30, 1964
Birthplace: Newark, New Jersey, United States
Trivia: Known to most as Steve Sanders on Beverly Hills 90210, Ian Ziering actually got his start onscreen almost ten years earlier, playing Brooke Shields' brother in the romantic teen drama Endless Love in 1981 when he was just 17. While it was the young actor's first big break in Hollywood, Ziering was already an accomplished actor, having performed in the national touring production of Peter Pan earlier that same year. Ziering's young life didn't revolve around only show business, however -- he graduated from William Patterson University in 1987.Despite taking time out for his education, Ziering continued to rack up credits on his resumé throughout the '80s, including a two-year stint on the soap opera Guiding Light from 1986 to 1988. Then, in 1990, Ziering scored the part of Steve on a new nighttime soap called Beverly Hills 90210, and his fame skyrocketed. Not only did he suddenly find that he'd become an extremely successful actor, he also became a teen heartthrob to girls everywhere -- despite the fact that even though his character was 16, Ziering himself was ten years older, though he was hardly the oldest of the cast. He would stay with the extremely successful show for ten years, occasionally acting in side projects like 1995's action thriller No Way Back, starring Russell Crowe. In 2005, Ziering appeared in Tony Scott's high-octane thriller Domino, and in 2006, he directed and starred in a comedy short called Man vs. Monday. Then, in 2007, the newly minted filmmaker sashayed his way back into prime time, appearing on the hit show Dancing with the Stars. Ziering and his partner, Cheryl Burke, proved very popular with audiences, who voted to keep the couple on the show for multiple weeks.
Tara Reid (Actor) .. April Wexler
Born: November 08, 1975
Birthplace: Wyckoff, New Jersey
Trivia: As one of the stars of the 1999 summer smash American Pie, Tara Reid experienced an almost meteoric ascent into overnight celebrity. Possessing the kind of buxom blond good looks that ensure future employment and Internet shrines, Reid was best-known for her role as The Big Lebowski's trophy wife, Bunny Lebowski, before being cast in Pie. A native of Wyckoff, New Jersey, where she was born on November 8, 1975, Reid broke into acting at the age of six, when she was a contestant on the CBS children's game show, Child's Play. She went on to study at New York's Professional Children's School, where her classmates included Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jerry O'Connell, and Macaulay Culkin. After appearing in commercials for such products as Jell-O and Crayola, Reid landed a role on the sitcom Saved by the Bell: the New Class in 1994 and then had a recurring role on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives the following year. She got her first substantial film roles in 1998, appearing in the Ed Wood-scripted I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, The Big Lebowski, the independent film Around the Fire, and Urban Legend, the latest in a long line of teen slasher flicks. Reid won some amount of recognition for the last film, which featured a Who's-Who line-up of post-pubescent stars and cast her as a campus radio talk show host. The following year, Reid earned a form of screen immortality with her role as the girlfriend of one of four high school guys who make a pact to lose their virginity in American Pie. She also appeared in more low-profile roles in the independent film Girl and in Cruel Intentions, which featured her as one of Ryan Phillippe's more unfortunate conquests. Later that year, she had a starring role in Body Shots, playing one of a group of twenty-something friends on the prowl for love and/or sex in Los Angeles.Edging ever closer to leading woman status, Reid's star continued to rise as the vibrant young actress took on roles in such high profile efforts as Dr. T and the Women (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001) and, of course, American Pie 2 (also 2001). After taming the savage party animal in the lowbrow comedy Van Wilder, Reid gave screen heartthrob Ashton Kutcher the runaround in the romantic comedy My Boss's Daughter. Sadly, Reid's star dwindled throughout the 2000s with a series of critical and commerical flops that failed in comparison to her highly publicized personal troubles. Reid was able to find some success when she rejoined the original cast of American Pie for American Reunion in 2012.
David Hasselhoff (Actor) .. Gil Shepherd
Born: July 17, 1952
Birthplace: Baltimore, Maryland, United States
Trivia: Actor David Hasselhoff first built up a fan following on the daytime TV soaper The Young and the Restless, where from 1975 through 1982 he played Bill "Snapper" Foster. He graduated to Prime Time as crimefighter Michael Knight on the fantasy actioner Knight Rider; this one lasted from 1982 to 1986. With his American career in temporary doldrums after Knight Rider's cancellation, Hasselhoff took advantage of his fluency in the German language to establish a phenomenal successful singing career in Europe. It is likely that nothing has brought him as much professional satisfaction as his Berlin Wall concert, an event that drew 500,000 spectators. In 1989, Hasselhoff signed on for another TV series, the initially unremarkable adventure weekly Baywatch. Few people need to be reminded of David Hasselhoff's success in this last endeavor: as of this writing, Baywatch is the single most popular television series in the world, beaming out to an estimated audience of one billion viewers.

Gary Busey (Actor) .. Wilford Wexler
Born: June 29, 1944
Birthplace: Goose Creek, Texas, United States
Trivia: Although American leading man Gary Busey has made distinguished appearances in many films, he has yet to attain the consistent popularity that would make him a major star. Born in Texas, Busey first few years were spent on an Oklahoma ranch where he learned to be a bull rider. He attended three different colleges before finally graduating in 1963, the year he became a professional drummer with the rock group The Rubber Band. Later, he billed himself as Teddy Jack Eddy and played percussion for Leon Russell, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson. In 1970, Busey made his acting debut in an episode of the TV western High Chaparel. This led to his feature film debut as a biker in Angels Hard as They Come the following year. After that Busey went on to play supporting roles (typically cast as renegades, daredevils, or good ol' boys with dubious morals) until 1978 when he made a major splash playing the lanky lead in The Buddy Holly Story, for which he did all the guitar and vocal work. His impersonation of Holly was remarkable and won him considerable acclaim and an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Busey then went on to play leads in many films of varying quality during the early to mid-1980s. In the late '80s he returned to supporting roles and co-leads. In 1988, Busey almost died in a motorcycle accident and his near death resulted in enactment of tougher helmet laws in California.

Cody Linley (Actor) .. Matt
Born: November 20, 1989
Birthplace: Denton, Texas, United States
Trivia: A teenage heartthrob extraordinaire on movie screens during the mid- to late 2000s, fair-haired Cody Linley actually undertook one of his first forays into cinema as a preadolescent. He played the aptly named Spit McGee, a bully who harasses the protagonist, in Jay W. Russell's nostalgic coming-of-age drama My Dog Skip (2000). A lead followed in John Schultz's offbeat comedy When Zachary Beaver Came to Town (2003), as did prominent billing in Hoot (2006), a family-oriented adventure about a group of teens who attempt to save some rare owls. Linley achieved broadest recognition, however, for his portrayal of Jake Ryan, opposite Miley Cyrus, in the second season of the blockbuster sitcom Hannah Montana. The pairing proved fruitful, as the two started dating during the show, and became married in 2016.

In 1992, Alexandra Paul was cast as lifeguard Stephanie Holden on the internationally popular Baywatch, remaining with the series until bowing out in 1996. She remained a mainstay on women's programs and made-for-TV thrillers, all the while leading a vigorous off-screen life as a vocal activist for the environment, animal welfare and gay rights.

Stacey Dash (Actor)

Trivia: Born in the Bronx, Stacey Dash made her name as one of the quintessential Beverly Hills princesses in Clueless (1995). After doing commercials as a child, Dash further honed her acting skills on TV in episodes of St. Elsewhere, The Cosby Show, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. After making her film debut in Richard Pryor's comedy Moving (1988), Dash featured more prominently as the object of Damon Wayans' affection in Mo' Money (1992) and as one of the recruits in Renaissance Man (1994). Dash's comic skills (and an ability to carry off outrageous hats with style) were put to clever use as Alicia Silverstone's best friend and fellow fashion plate Dionne in Amy Heckerling's Clueless. A sleeper summer hit, Heckerling's affectionate satire of privileged L.A. teens became a key film in the 1990s teen pic resurgence; Dash reprised her role on the Clueless TV series from 1996 to 1999. Taking a break from Dionne during hiatuses, Dash appeared in the crime drama Cold Around the Heart (1997) and the indie comedy Personals (1999). She continued to work steadily at the beginning of the 21st century appearing in a variety of projects such as View From the Top, Gang of Roses, Murder in Fashion, and Dysfunctional Friends.

David Faustino (Actor)
Born: March 03, 1974

The son of a Hollywood costume designer and his wife, who guided each of their children into show business, David landed his first role at the age of three, playing a female clown in a Lily Tomlin special, then moved into commercials and landed guest appearances on such series as Family Ties, The Twilight Zone, and Little House on the Prairie, as well as appearances in movies including I Ought to Be in Pictures (1982) and The Star Chamber (1983). Faustino was tapped for the Married role in 1987, and rode to fame as the series soared in popularity (and controversy), remaining with the program for each of its ten seasons. By the early '90s, the performer had also branched out into an ambitious musical career; he founded an urban-themed nightspot called Club Balistyx in West Hollywood, where he frequently performed as a rap singer, and in 1992 issued his first audio recording, The Balistyx Album. After Married folded in 1997, Faustino resumed feature roles, with parts in films including The Heist (1999), MacArthur Park (2001), Freezerburn (2005), and National Lampoon's Pucked (2006). Opened the tattoo parlor Vince Neil Ink in downtown Las Vegas in 2006.
Wayne Newton (Actor) .. Himself
Born: April 03, 1942
Birthplace: Roanoke, Virginia, United States
Trivia: Aptly nicknamed "Mr. Vegas" for his constant presence in Glitter Gulch, master showman Wayne Newton swept audiences off their feet for many a decade with a slick crooning style modeled upon such influences as Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin (one of Newton's personal mentors). Newton distinguished himself, however -- at least in the early years -- via his unusually high vocal register and his choice of material; he took such numbers as "Red Roses for a Blue Lady" and the seminal "Danke Schoen" and made them synonymous with himself. In his prime, Newton reportedly commandeered up to a million dollars per month for his live shows (to say nothing of his recordings), and bought up a healthy amount of property in Las Vegas, including the Aladdin Casino. Cinematically, Newton debuted on an absurd note, with the lead role in the critically reviled Gerd Oswald musical 80 Steps to Jonah (1969) -- playing a convict on the lam who flees from the law and ends up at a camp for blind children. That picture bombed, effectively convincing Newton to place a greater emphasis on singing than acting, but by the early '90s, he began cropping up in Hollywood films once again, this time with more respectable cameo roles in such films as The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990), Vegas Vacation (1997), and Ocean's Eleven (2001). In the fall of 2007, the ABC network tapped Newton to perform as one of the celebrity dancers on the fifth season of its competitive reality series Dancing with the Stars, opposite dancer Cheryl Burke.

Dr. Drew (Actor)
Born: September 04, 1958
Birthplace: Pasadena, California, United States
Trivia: Dr. Drew Pinsky, M.D. -- often referred to in the media as simply Dr. Drew -- grew up as the son of a Pasadena, CA-area physician with plans to establish himself as a traditional internist. After medical school, however, Pinsky found his niche as one of the very few health and sex educator celebrities to score massive popularity among teenagers and young adults. As one of the hosts of the radio call-in series Loveline in the 1990s, Pinsky fielded questions, mostly from adolescents, on relationships, sexuality, and health, with a candor and explicitness that many found refreshing and eminently useful. The program netted such a massive fan base and viewership that it spawned not only an MTV spin-off in 1996 (with comedian Adam Carolla co-emceeing opposite Pinsky and adding a dose of levity to the proceedings), but its own website, a book, speaking tours, movie appearances by the co-hosts, and the like. In the mean time, Pinsky became certified in addiction medicine and began to lead the chemical dependency unit at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena. In 2008, VH1 tapped Pinsky to host its reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, with unvarnished glimpses of celebs such as Jeff Conaway, Jaimee Foxworth and Daniel Baldwin undergoing grueling drug rehabilitation on-camera. In addition to his other media responsibilities, Pinsky began hosting his own current affairs show, Dr. Drew, on the HLN network in 2011.

Born: August 24, 1958
Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York, United States
Trivia: Actor Steve Guttenberg, trained at New York's High School of the Performing Arts, Julliard and the Actors Studio, was already a professional as a teenager, making his off-Broadway debut in a revival of The Lion in Winter. In 1976 he was first seen before the cameras in the made-for-TV Something for Joey. The following year, he made his big-screen bow in The Chicken Chronicles, and within three years was starring in his own weekly TV series, Billy (he was subsequently top-billed in the bizarre 1982 summer-replacement weekly No Soap, Radio. After a flurry of excellent film roles--the foredoomed Barry Kohler in Boys from Brazil (1978), football-obsessed groom-to-be Eddie in Diner (1982), etc.--Guttenberg settled into workaday parts. He seemed to have a propensity for getting involved in film series: he was seen as Michael Kellan in both 3 Men and a Baby and 3 Men and a Little Lady, Jack Bonner in the two Cocoon films, and Mahoney in the first four Police Academy entries. In 1991, Steve Guttenberg made his belated Broadway debut in Prelude to a Kiss. In the decades to follow, Guttenberg would appear in films like Home Team, Domino One, Fatal Rescue, and A Novel Romance, as well as a memorable arc on the cult hit series Veronica Mars. He would also appear on Dancing with the Stars.
Mindy Robinson (Actor) .. Annie
Born: February 14, 1980
Birthplace: Fall River, Massachusetts, United States
Gilbert Gottfried (Actor) .. Ron McDonald
Born: February 28, 1955
Died: April 12, 2022
Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York, United States
Trivia: Few actors are more polarizing in the responses they elicit than the eternally obnoxious, terminally whiny Gilbert Gottfried. Those who have heard his voice are not likely to soon forget his shrill, fingernails-on-the-chalkboard delivery; and those who have seen him are no doubt familiar with his squinty-eyed persona and overly dramatic mannerisms.Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1955, Gottfried was the youngest of three children and began to refine his unique comic persona (a persona Gottfried describes as being "somewhere between Pat Boone and Jeffrey Dahmer") at the age of 15. Quickly gaining a reputation as a talented comic who was often considered an acquired taste, Gilbert toured as a stand-up comic until he gained his first taste of national exposure on the otherwise forgettable 1980-1981 season of Saturday Night Live. A period of transition in the long-running comedy series, given that producer and founder Lorne Michaels had recently departed along with the talented cast, Gottfried's involvement was short-lived as Michaels soon returned to revive the series with a new cast and writers. Moving on, as a member of the cast of Alan Thicke's equally disastrous late-night effort Thicke of the Night in 1983, Gottfried would soon turn to bit parts in films before helming his own latenight schlock-a-thon, USA Up All Night. The replacement for perennial cult favorite Night Flight, USA Up All Night specialized in airing the worst of the worst, constantly scraping the cinematic drivel from the bottom of the barrel, with Gottfried at the helm as its gleefully annoying host. Continuing to work in film and television while serving as master of the B's, Gottfried appeared frequently on the small screen in Duckman and at the movies in Problem Child (and its sequels) before kicking off a successful turn in animated character voices with his role as Iago the Parrot in Disney's Aladdin (1992). A frequent guest of Hollywood Squares and The Howard Stern Show, Gottfried's vigorous vocal chords lend themselves to an amusing variety of impressions, as well. Inspired by Universal monster films of the 1930s, Gottfried is well known for his spot-on Dracula impression (interchangeable with his Pope impersonation), and many others that he frequently incorporates into his stand-up act.He maintained his reputation as one of the funniest, and often most offensive, stand-up comics of his generation, never bothering to commit to a film career, but taking parts here and there, very often in animated projects. He had a long run as the voice of the Aflac duck in a series of commercials for the insurance company, and he made a memorable impression in the 2005 documentary The Aristocrats where his infamous telling of the title joke at a Friar's Club Roast stands as arguably its definitive rendition.
