A massive snow storm rolls into the Cascade Mountains, burying Daryl Jané in his Jeep in up to seven feet of snow. After two weeks, he's dying of dehydration and hunger, and considers taking his own life. Next, an LA couple becomes hopelessly lost in California's high desert during a short day hike. Over the course of 5 long days, they search in vain for their car, run out of food, and endure 50 mile an hour winds.
