Tom and Lynda Bosworth are stranded in the rugged Burro Mountains when their Jeep hits a boulder and rolls over. They face a grueling four-day hike out of the area, with no food and little water. Next, "Dewey" Gaedcke goes on a night hike in the lava fields at Hawaii's Mt. Kilauea volcano and gets lost on his way back to his car. For the next five days, Dewey wanders through the sharp jagged lava fields.
