Was part of the choir group at the Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish Church in Bogo where her talent was discovered by the church Father. Offered a singing and acting contract by Viva Films who watched her award-winning performance at the Cebu Pop Music Festival. Debuted in the 1986 film Nakagapos na Puso as a child actress in which she co-starred with her diol Sharon Cuneta. Survived a vehicular accident at Quezon City, Philippines in 2001 which almost killed her. Became the first ever Filipino singer to sing at the New York International Music Festival in 2003. Won the Best Female Recording Artist at the 1996 Awit Awards for her first album Easy To Love. Owns the Ystilo Salon which is manager by her elder sister Sheila Moreno and her husband.

Participated in the television show Eat Bulaga!'s Little Miss Philippines contest in 1984. Lolit Solis, her manager, suggested that she should take up roles of a villain, and in doing that she earned tremendous fame. Became a television host via the show MOMents, for which she takes up the task of a scriptwriter, talent coordinator, and event editor as well. Is a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
