Costas Mandylor (Actor)
Born: September 03, 1965
Birthplace: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Trivia: Costas Mandylor initially launched a career as a soccer player, then gravitated to film acting when debilitating shin injuries spelled an end to his tenure on the field. Raised in Australia as the son of Greek immigrants, Mandylor first caught the attention of the American public and press in the summer of 1991, when People magazine christened him one of 1991's 50 Most Beautiful People in the world, and cited his contribution to that year's "young gangsters" crime saga Mobsters (as Frank Costello) as a star-making turn. Mandylor soon began to specialize in ethnic roles that took full advantage of his Mediterranean extraction, and that spanned a wide array of genres -- from biopic (The Doors, 1991) to farce (Soapdish, 1991) to psychological thriller (The Pledge, 2001). On the small screen, Mandylor had a regular role as Officer Kenny Lacos on the small-town drama Picket Fences (1992-1996), and he also appeared in a recurring part on the family drama 7th Heaven (2004-2006). His popularity increased in the late 2000s when he played a forensic specialist in chapters three and four of the Saw series of slasher films.
Nicki Micheaux (Actor)
Trivia: African-American supporting actress Nicki Micheaux debuted with guest spots on such series programs as ER and NYPD Blue during the late '90s, and contributed a highly memorable bit part (as the trashy Leshawnette) to the behind-the-scenes talk show spoof Jerry Springer: Ringmaster (1998). In the early 2000s, she took on recurring roles on the popular dramas Six Feet Under, Soul Food, and The Shield, the latter of which cast her in the memorable part of Detective Trish George. In 2005, Micheaux played the supporting role of Phoebe Watson in the Oprah Winfrey-produced Zora Neale Hurston made-for-television adaptation Their Eyes Were Watching God. The next year, Micheaux landed one of the lead roles on the series drama Lincoln Heights, playing Jenn Sutton, the matriarch of a middle-class African-American family.
Shane Brolly (Actor)
Born: March 06, 1970
Trivia: Born in Belfast, intensely handsome actor Shane Brolly comes from a family of Irish actors, although he's done most of his film work in the U.S. He started his career in made-for-cable crime dramas in the late '90s. After some independent films, he played a small role in the sci-fi thriller Impostor, based on a story by Philip K. Dick. In 2002, he starred as the billionaire playboy Henry Brooke in Zalman King's erotic Showtime TV series Chromiumblue.com. As the owner of the yacht "Chromium Blue," his character leads stylish women and men onto his pleasure ship to fulfill their sexual fantasies. The show was made into a feature film of the same name in 2003. The same year, he seemed fit to play the aristocratic vampire leader Kraven in Len Wiseman's action fantasy Underworld.
