Patricia Barry (Actor) .. Kitty Stillman
Born: November 16, 1922
Died: October 11, 2016
Trivia: American actress Patricia Barry was signed for a Columbia Pictures contract almost immediately upon her graduation from Stephens College. Billed as Patricia White, the young actress was kept busy in Gene Autry westerns, two-reel comedies with such funsters as Andy Clyde and Sterling Holloway, and occasional leads in B-plus features like The Wreck of the Hesperus (1948). Changing her professional name upon her marriage to producer/director Philip Barry, Jr. (son of the famed playwright), Patricia became one of the most visible actresses in 1950s television. She spent two years as a regular on the daytime drama First Love, and worked steadily in such anthologies as Playhouse 90 and Matinee Theatre. Though an advocate of the "method" school of acting, Barry's technique was a lot less self-indulgent and timewasting than most method actors of her era, and she continued popping up with regularity on TV shows of the 1960s, including a costarring stint with Jack Klugman in the short-lived 1964 sitcom Harris Against the World. Active in TV and films into the 1980s, Patricia Barry is probably best known to modern viewers for her performances in two Twilight Zone installments, "The Chaser" (1960) and "I Dream of Jeannie," wherein she pulled off the dextrous task of being both sexy and funny at the same time and for her work on soap operas, including Days of Our Lives and All My Children. Barry died in 2016, at age 93.
Yvette Dugay (Actor) .. Raquel Morales
Trivia: A child model from the age of six months, Yvette Duguay's parents brought her to Hollywood when she was two and, at 12, she played Maria Montez as a child in Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (1943). The exotic-looking child actress, who later took to spelling her name Dugay, proved one of the few to also enjoy an adult career. She co-starred with Vince Edwards as Minnehaha in Hiawatha (1952) and was an Indian squaw again in Cattle Queen of Montana (1954), her most visible performance due to its public domain status. Dugay seemed to leave performing behind following a 1960 episode of television's Cheyenne.
Barry Kelley (Actor) .. Sheriff
Born: January 01, 1908
Died: June 05, 1991
Trivia: Trained at the Goodman Theatre in his hometown of Chicago, the 6'4", 230-pound Barry Kelley made his professional stage bow in 1930. Seventeen years later, he appeared in his first film, director Elia Kazan's Boomerang. Kelley was most often found in crime yarns and westerns, often cast as a corrupt law officer, e.g. Lieutenant Ditrich in John Huston's The Asphalt Jungle. Barry Kelley's hundreds of TV credits include the recurring roles of city editor Charlie Anderson in Big Town (1954) and Pete's boss Mr. Slocum in Pete and Gladys (1961).
Wayne Morris (Actor) .. Pete Stillman
Born: February 17, 1914
Died: September 14, 1959
Trivia: A friendly, open-faced, "all-American" type of hero, usually cast as a not-too-bright nice guy, he was born Bert de Wayne Morris. He trained at the Pasadena Playhouse, then debuted onscreen in 1936. His popularity increased after he played the title role in Kid Galahad (1937), and he costarred in numerous films before his career was interrupted by World War Two; as a Navy aviator he shot down seven Japanese aircraft in dogfights and sank an enemy gunboat and two destroyers. He was awarded four Distinguished Flying Crosses and two Air Medals. After returning to the screen he remained busy, appearing primarily in low-budget action films, but never regained his pre-war popularity. He died of a heart attack at 45.
William Bryant (Actor) .. Chase
Born: January 31, 1924
Trivia: Not to be confused with variety-show host Willie Bryant, American general purpose actor William Bryant kept busy in outdoors films. He was featured in such westerns as Ride Beyond Vengeance (1966), Heaven with a Gun (1969) and John Wayne's Chisum (1970). His additional non-western credits include Gable and Lombard (1976), Mountain Family Robinson (1977) (in a leading role) and Corvette Summer (1977). From 1976 through 1978, William Bryant costarred as Lieutenant Shilton on the Robert Wagner/Eddie Albert TV detective series Switch, and also appeared for a time as Lamont Corbin on the daytime serial General Hospital.
James Anderson (Actor) .. 1st Deputy
Born: January 01, 1920
Died: January 01, 1969
Trivia: Character actor, onscreen from the '50s.
William Yip (Actor) .. Chan
Born: January 01, 1895
Died: January 01, 1968
Sid Saylor (Actor) .. James
Born: March 24, 1895
Died: December 21, 1962
Trivia: Scrawny supporting actor Syd Saylor managed to parlay a single comic shtick -- bobbing his adam's apple -- into a four-decade career. He starred in several silent two-reel comedies from 1926 through 1927, then settled into character parts. During the late '30s and early '40s, Saylor frequently found himself in B-Westerns as the comical sidekick for many a six-gun hero, though he seldom lasted very long in any one series. Syd Saylor was still plugging away into the 1950s, playing "old-timer" bits in such films as Cheaper by the Dozen (1950) and Jackpot (1950), and such TV series as Burns and Allen and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
Morgan Sha'an (Actor) .. 2nd Deputy
