Aabra Ka Daabra is a 2004 Bollywood film and it happens to quite awesome. Shanu Singh lives a middle-class lifestyle with his dad, Rahul, and mom, Shivani. Rahul is a magician and performs Houdini-like tricks. Once while being locked in an iron cask and thrown into the sea, he does not surface and everyone believes he is dead, leaving Shanu to become a waiter in Dilbaug's Dhaba, while Shivani becomes a governess to Pinky, who is the daughter of Sindhi businessman, Maneklal. Trivia: A native of Delhi, India, and a graduate of Kirori Mal College, Satish Kaushik enjoyed frequent Bollywood acting roles interspersed with occasional directing assignments. He first bowed onscreen as an actor with Shekhar Kapur's 1983 Masoom, then followed it up with similar parts in such features as Kundan Shah's Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (1983) and Dayal Nihalani's Guru Dakshina (1986), before making his entrée into directing in the adult-themed romantic comedy-drama Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993), and subsequently alternating between work before the camera and behind it. Later directorial credits included the 1999 Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, the 2005 Vaada, and the 2006 Shaadi Se Pehle; while subsequent acting highlights included Wajahh: A Reason to Kill (2004) and Umar (2006). In 2007, Kaushik signed for a starring role as the husband in an arranged marriage in director Sarah Gavron's drama Brick Lane. Though not primarily a scribe, Kaushik did author the script for the 2006 Shaadi Se Pehle.
