Trivia: Writer, actress, and comedian Kristen Schaal honed her skills working in the New York improve and stand-up scene in the early 2000s. In addition to winning the Best Alternative Comedian Award at the 2006 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, along with a number of other awards, Schaal began cultivating a career onscreen, appearing on shows like The Education of Max Bickford and Ugly Betty, and in movies like Norbit.
