Trivia: Summer Glau has been a ballerina from the time she was a small child. While it would be her acting career that would bring her face to face with her largest audience, it was her background as a dancer that would provide her with the chance to do so. After appearing in a few commercials, she appeared on the Joss Whedon series Angel as a ballerina in the episode Waiting in the Wings. Whedon was so impressed with the young actress' debut performance that in 2002, he cast the then-21-year-old in the challenging role of River in his new series Firefly. Despite immediately earning a hardcore cult fan base, Firefly's ratings would prove to be unsatisfactory for Fox, which pulled the plug after only 11 episodes. Glau had made her mark, however, playing a traumatized prodigy running from the interplanetary authorities aboard a cargo ship. La Rue segued into acting in the late '80s and early '90s, and landed a number of nonfiction television assignments, first as cohost, with the legendary Dom DeLuise, of the gag-laden series revival The New Candid Camera (1991), then as hostess of the Miss America Pageant and the Lifetime network special Weddings of a Lifetime. Trivia: Became interested in acting at age 8, when the manager for his actor sister, Lilly, suggested that he may also have a talent for performing. Trivia: Born in Oregon to a mother with an enthusiasm for acting, Dan Gauthier made a living as a male model before he broke into acting. He has appeared on numerous television programs including 21 Jump Street, Sliders, and Friends. Gauthier landed recurring roles on Melrose Place, All My Children, Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, and Ellen. After 2002 he disappeared from screens for eight years, coming back in 2010 in the horror film Forget Me Not.
