Griffin Dunne (Actor) .. Peter Pearce
Born: June 08, 1955
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: As both an actor and producer, Griffin Dunne was among the most notable figures in contemporary independent filmmaking. Born June 8, 1955, in New York City, he is the son of novelist Dominick Dunne and the nephew of author and screenwriter John Gregory Dunne. Dominique, his younger sister, was also an actress, appearing in the hit movie Poltergeist before her violent 1982 murder. Trained by Uta Hagen at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Dunne made his film debut in 1975's The Other Side of the Mountain, which he followed with work on-stage and in television. Small roles in the 1979 feature Chilly Scenes of Winter and 1981's The Fan marked his next film appearances, but the first of his roles to garner significant notice was in 1981's cult-classic An American Werewolf in London. With John Sayles' 1982 film Baby, It's You, Dunne made his debut as a producer, a venture he furthered by establishing his own company, Double Play Productions. After 1983's Cold Feet, Dunne co-produced and starred in Martin Scorsese's 1985 comedy After Hours, perhaps his best-known performance. His leading role in 1987's Me and Him, on the other hand, was arguably the most infamous turn of his career, as he portrayed an architect whose penis begins to speak. A role opposite Madonna in the disastrous 1987 comedy Who's That Girl? further dimmed Dunne's star, and after appearing in Luc Besson's 1988 epic Le Grand Bleu he spent the next two years away from the screen, instead producing work including the acclaimed Running on Empty. Supporting turns in 1991's My Girl and Once Around proved to foreshadow Dunne's move away from leading roles throughout the decade, and apart from starring in 1995's Search and Destroy the majority of his film appearances (including the acclaimed Quiz Show and I Like It Like That) were smaller character parts. Continuing his work behind the camera, in 1997 Dunne made his directorial debut with the hit romantic comedy Addicted to Love. He would go on to direct more romantic comedies, like Practical Magic and The Accidental Husband. Over the next several years, Dunne would also appear on many successful TV shows, like Trust Me and House of Lies,
Rosanna Arquette (Actor) .. Maria Pearce
Born: August 10, 1959
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: Actress Rosanna Arquette, the granddaughter of actor Cliff Arquette (aka "Charley Weaver"), was born into a theatrical family; her father was a founding member of the Committee, an improvisational theater troupe. As a youth she moved often with her family. At age 17 she appeared on the Los Angeles stage in Metamorphosis. Her family settled in Virginia, where she worked in local theater where she was spotted by a casting director. She soon had much work in TV movies in the late '70s. She debuted onscreen in More American Graffitti (1979). Her breakthrough came with her portrayal of condemned murderer Gary Gilmore's girlfriend in the TV movie The Executioner's Song (1982), which earned her much praise. That success led to a lead role in John Sayles's Baby, It's You (1983). She gained her greatest fame in the hit film Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), co-starring Madonna. From there she has maintained a steady screen career, usually playing kooky, off-beat, spacey, slightly eccentric women. She is the sister of actress Patricia Arquette.
Richard Benjamin (Actor) .. Simon Pearce
Born: May 22, 1938
Trivia: Throughout his film career, Richard Benjamin trafficked in neurotic, high-strung, self-involved upper-middle-class characterizations. While attending the New York High School of Performing Arts, Benjamin made his first professional stage appearances, and reportedly showed up in a handful of movie bit roles. He continued his theatrical training at Northwestern University, where he met actress Paula Prentiss, whom he married in 1961. At first, Hollywood was more interested in Paula than in Dick; thus, while Paula was co-starring with Jim Hutton at MGM, her husband was still performing on stage. In 1965, Benjamin directed the London production of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park; the following year, he made his Broadway acting bow in Simon's The Star Spangled Girl, earning a Theatre World Award in the bargain. Co-starring with wife Paula, Benjamin appeared in the 1967 TV situation comedy He and She, which gained a loyal cult following but was considered too New Yawk-ish for the hinterlands. Even so, He and She made Benjamin a name-above-the-title star, and it was in this capacity that he made his film adult screen appearance as angst-driven collegiate Neil Klugman in Goodbye Columbus (1969). He went on to play Major Danby in the all-star Catch-22 (1969), monumentally insensitive husband Jonathan Balser in Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970), the self-abusive (in every sense of the phrase) title character in Portnoy's Complaint (1972), the hero-by-default in Westworld (1973), ulcerated agent Ben Clark in The Sunshine Boys (1976) and erstwhile vampire hunter Dr. Jeff Rosenberg in Love at First Bite (1980). Benjamin participated in another cult-TV item in 1978, when he starred in the 6-episode sci-fi lampoon Quark. In 1982, he made his film directorial bow with My Favorite Year (1982), a rollicking nostalgiafest inspired by TV's Golden Age. Since that time, Benjamin has favored directing over performing.
Miles Heizer (Actor) .. Mickey Pearce
Born: May 16, 1994
Birthplace: Greenville, Kentucky, United States
Trivia: Miles Heizer took his premier cinematic bow on an unusual and emotionally demanding note, as a child star in Alison Eastwood's psychological drama Rails and Ties. In that film, Heizer plays Davey Danner, a boy whose life falls to pieces, perhaps irreparably, when his mom parks her car on the train tracks and ends her life by waiting for the next locomotive to hit. Heizer starred in the film opposite Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden. He joined the cast of NBC's reboot of Parenthood in 2010.
James Norton (Actor) .. Nick Pearce
Eisa Davis (Actor) .. Eileen Link
Born: May 05, 1971
Marcia Jean Kurtz (Actor) .. Eunice Pearce
John Ventimiglia (Actor) .. Sipple
Born: July 17, 1963
Birthplace: New York, New York, United States
Trivia: New York-based character actor John Ventimiglia has built his career playing thugs, guards, cops, and other tough guys in television and movies. He guest starred on crime dramas like Law & Order and NYPD Blue until 1999, when he joined the cast of The Sopranos as Artie Bucco, the proprietor of the Nuovo Vesuvio restaurant and close personal friend of Tony Soprano. The Artie Bucco character name was used by HBO to sell a whole line of products (pasta sauce, cookbooks, etc.) to promote the show. His film career has been more low-key, mostly made up of small roles in independent dramas. In 1995, he played the stable father Andrew in Rebecca Miller's directorial debut, Angela. The next year, he had brief parts in four popular independent films: I Shot Andy Warhol, Girls Town, Trees Lounge, and The Funeral. He then co-starred in the crime comedy On the Run, opposite fellow Sopranos cast member Michael Imperioli, and appeared in King of the World, the made-for-TV movie about Muhammad Ali. Turning to voice acting, he narrated both the documentary The Art of Amália and Rebecca Miller's Personal Velocity. In 2002, he joined up with several other New York actors and writers for DV Workshop, a feature film collection of 24 short films for the Internet.
Lou Taylor Pucci (Actor) .. Aaron
Born: July 27, 1985
Trivia: At the age of ten, Lou Taylor Pucci had no serious interest in acting, but his aunt saw that he had quite a talent for the art. She bribed him to appear in a community theater production of Oliver, kicking off a career that would soon land him on Broadway in a production of The Sound of Music. By the age of 15, he had a small part in the independent film Personal Velocity: Three Portraits. The minor role caught the eye of agent Billy Lazarus, who subsequently took Pucci on as a client. Pucci took his first leading role in 2005's Thumbsucker, the first feature film by music video director Mike Mills. His sensitive and humorous portrayal of a 17-year-old boy's struggle to grow up was extremely well received, garnering praise from critics and audiences alike. Leading up to this auspicious debut, the young actor had a supporting part in another indie film called The Chumscrubber, a darkly comic tale about the dysfunction of suburbia. The same year, he could be seen performing alongside such greats as Paul Newman, Ed Harris, and Philip Seymour Hoffman in the Golden Globe Award-winning HBO mini series Empire Falls. 2006 found Pucci reluctant to slow down, joining the cast of director Martin Hynes' second feature film The Go-Getter, as well as Richard Linklater's film adaptation of Eric Schlosser's best-selling book Fast Food Nation. He also signed on to appear in Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly's futuristic ensemble film Southland Tales.
Echo Kellum (Actor) .. Chris
Trivia: Grew up in Chicago, where he began his acting career in local theater and commercials. Booked his first regional-theater tour at age 13. Trained in improvisational comedy at UCB Theater, IO West and the Groundlings. Part of a sketch-comedy duo called Shadow Cats.
Ian Owens (Actor) .. Yates
