Willow Smith (Actor) .. Baby Gloria
Born: October 31, 2000
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, United States
Trivia: The daughter of actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith, onscreen performer Willow Smith debuted as a child star in the late 2000s, well before the age of ten. She did so with roles in a pair of extremely different films: the Will Smith sci-fi-adventure drama I Am Legend (2007) and the family-oriented period drama Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008), with a story adapted from the popular American Girls line of dolls.
Meredith Vieira (Actor) .. Newscaster
Born: December 30, 1953
Birthplace: Providence, Rhode Island, United States
Trivia: After earning a degree from Tufts University, Meredith Vieira began a career in the media with a job as a radio personality for a station in Massachusetts. She made her way to television, rising through a series of bigger and bigger local markets until she found a steady job at the network owned and operated WCBS in New York. She began appearing on television programs such as West 57th and 60 Minutes, leading to an offer to change networks from ABC. She accepted that job, becoming a regular contributor to Turning Point, a show that was canceled in 1997. Vieira landed on her feet, however, as a co-host of the Barbara Walters-hosted morning talk show The View. Her popularity rose steadily, eventually leading to a stint hosting the daytime syndicated version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? In 2006, she was tapped to replace Katie Couric as the host of The Today Show on NBC. She stayed on the signature morning show for five years, stepping down in 2011 when she was replaced by Ann Curry.
Lesley Stahl (Actor) .. Newscaster
Born: December 16, 1941
Birthplace: Swampscott, Massachusetts, United States
Trivia: Venerable broadcast journalist Lesley Stahl ascended to her best-known position -- that of correspondent for the institutional CBS news magazine 60 Minutes -- in early 1991. Stahl replaced Meredith Vieira, when the latter allegedly left the show in the midst of a dispute with the network. Dedicated TV news adherents will doubtless realize that Stahl's 60 Minutes tenure represented only the cap on an astounding career, and that she -- like her colleagues -- sustained a decades-long resumé of prestigious assignments prior to her arrival on the CBS Sunday-night telecasts. Born December 16, 1941, in Swampscott, MA, Stahl attended and graduated from Wheaton College, and first made her mark reporting, for CBS, on the Watergate scandal of the early '70s. Additional key assignments for Stahl during that decade included coverage of the U.S.-Russian summit meetings and of each U.S. presidential election. In the late '70s, Stahl graduated from regular CBS news correspondent to the network's chief White House correspondent during the Carter presidency, the Reagan era, and part of the term of George H.W. Bush. During this time period, Stahl also served as chief commentator on Face the Nation. Stahl's memorable 60 Minutes pieces included reports on David Kessler's feud with tobacco manufacturers, a business profile of Google, and legendary interviews with Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neill of the George W. Bush administration.Stahl made a humorous guest appearance alongside her colleagues on a 1993 episode of the situation comedy Murphy Brown. She carried her involvement in that program one step further than the rest, however, by also returning to host a best-of retrospective of clips at the end of the 1994-1995 season. Stahl is married to journalist and author Aaron Latham, best known to cinephiles for authoring the Esquire articles that inspired the enjoyable Urban Cowboy (1980) and the subpar Perfect (1985), and for penning the screenplay of the 1993 James Caan sports drama The Program.
Al Roker (Actor) .. Newscaster
Born: August 20, 1954
Birthplace: Queens, New York, United States
Trivia: Born August 20, 1954, New York native Al Roker double majored in graphic design and broadcast journalism at State University of New York at Oswego. After graduating, he found work as a weatherman at WNBC in New York City, and would continue to work in meteorology for years to come. He began working as the weatherman for Weekend Today, and eventually began filling in for Today Show weatherman Willard Scott on occasion. In 1996, Scott announced that he would be going into semi-retirement, and Roker's position on the Today Show became much more prominent, making him a familiar name and face to millions of Americans. In 2001, Roker underwent gastric bypass surgery and lost 100 lbs. off his 300 lb.-plus frame, and spoke publicly about his decision, hoping to spread awareness about just when and how the operation should be considered. Roker also explored other areas of journalism, hosting the series Al Roker Investigates, as well as the travel series Going Places. Roker lent his voice to several films throughout the 2000s, including Robots (2005), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009), and The Pirates! Band of Misfits! (2012).
