Trivia: The epitome of the word "statuesque," brunette, big blue-eyed, and 6' tall Lynda Carter was once considered one of the most beautiful women in the western world. Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Carter's height caused considerable awkwardness in high school. Friends encouraged her to become a performer; she began studying voice and by the time she graduated, she was named her school's most talented student. She briefly attended Arizona State University, but dropped out to become a professional singer and tour the country with several rock groups. By 1972, Carter had returned home and entered a local beauty pageant. She won and went on to win the title of Miss World-USA. After that, Carter studied acting in New York. She started her career in television making guest appearances on such shows as Starsky and Hutch, but Carter did not become famous until winning the title role of Wonder Woman in 1975. The Wonder Woman shows originally started out as specials on the ABC network, but by 1976 had been turned into a series. The network canceled the show after one season and it was picked up by CBS and aired there for a few years. When the series ended, she had a somewhat successful career as a Las Vegas entertainer. She also continues to occasionally appear in television movies and as a series guest star.

Trivia: Tall, dark-haired, and ruggedly handsome, Lyle Waggoner is best known for being the announcer and later a regular skit player on The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1974. Waggoner then went on to play Steve Trevor in The New Adventures of Wonder Woman (1975). Prior to his television work, Waggoner made his feature film debut with a bit part in Women of the Prehistoric Planet (1966). With looks to spare, he good-naturedly posed in the altogether for Playgirl magazine in the mid-'70s. After Wonder Woman was canceled, Waggoner only occasionally appeared in television movies and even less frequently in feature films.

Trivia: Trivia buffs and diehard fans of Elia Kazan's On the Waterfront will know that the non-speaking cab driver in the film's famed 'taxicab scene between Marlon Brando and Rod Steiger was noted character actor Nehemiah Persoff. An American resident from age 9, the Jerusalem-born Persoff spent his early adulthood working for the New York subway system. Asked in later years why he chose acting as a profession, Persoff would comment that the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe compelled him to prove himself worthy of his "gift of life." On stage in community and non-professional productions from 1940, he studied with Stella Adler at the Actor's Studio before graduating to Broadway. His first film appearance, in 1948, was in the Manhattan-based The Naked City. After attaining prominence in the mid-1950s, Persoff alternated between villainy and sympathetic roles, utilizing his ear for dialects to depict a wide array of nationalities. He was often cast as a gangster, both serious (Johnny Torrio in the 1959 feature Capone, Jake Guzik on the TV series The Untouchables) and satiric (Little Bonaparte in 1959's Some Like It Hot). His credits in the 1980s included Stalin in the 1980 TV movie FDR: The Last Year, Barbra Streisand's father in Yentl (1983), and the robust voice of Papa Mousekewitz in the 1986 animated feature An American Tail.

Trivia: Sardinia-born actress Marisa Pavan was the twin sister of movie leading lady Pier Angeli. After briefly attending Torquada Tasso College, Pavan came to Hollywood in 1952; within three years, she was nominated for an Oscar for her work in The Rose Tattoo. Severely curtailing her theatrical film appearances since 1973, she has been seen in several American TV productions, including The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald and The Moneychangers. Marisa Pavan is the wife of French film star Jean-Pierre Aumont.

Trivia: Peter MacLean's appearances on such 1970s television staples as Starsky and Hutch and Charlie's Angels without question made the character actor one of the small screen's most recognized supporting players, and his later role as the star and director of Disneyland Paris' Buffalo Bill's Wild West attraction would help to ensure that his face would remain equally recognizable to future generations as well. A Boston native who graduated from Emerson College, MacLean later made a name for himself in repertory Shakespeare groups across the country, during which time he gained an especially solid reputation for his portrayal of Macbeth. MacLean alternated frequently between television and film following his big-screen bow in the 1963 drama The Cardinal, and by the 1970s he could be spotted virtually everywhere on the small screen. From an appearance in the pilot for Fantasy Island to a role in the enduring daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, MacLean could always be counted upon to liven up what might otherwise have been incidental roles. In the 1976 frightener Squirm MacLean pinned a badge to his chest as the sheriff who must help to save a small community from carnivorous worms. In the 1980s MacLean's onscreen career began to slow, though in the next decade his position in front of and behind the scenes of Disneyland Paris' Buffalo Bill's Wild West found the ageing actor as in-demand as ever. MacLean would ultimately appear in a staggering 1,800 performances in Buffalo Bill mode, even performing at the base of the Eiffel Tower as the real Buffalo Bill had done 100 years previously. On May 28, 2003, Peter MacLean died of lymphoma in Los Angeles. He was 67.
