His mother, Gladys Zender, was Miss Universe 1957, and was the first Latin American to win the title. Formed his first band, Arena Hash, at age 17. Received a double platinum disc in Peru for his first solo album in 1996.
Was voted one of People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2012. Launched the fragrance Pulse for Esika.
