About Kurt Sutter

After college, worked as a stage actor in New York; taught at a New York acting studio in the early 1990s. Was an executive producer for the last two seasons of The Shield, and wrote for the series throughout its 2002-2008 run; credits include the 2005 and 2007 episodes in which his wife (and Sons of Anarchy costar), Katey Sagal, guest starred. Spent time with members of an Oakland motorcycle club before developing Sons of Anarchy.
A motorcycle rider himself, has ridden across the U.S. Has an occasional Sons of Anarchy role as imprisoned club member "Big Otto" Delaney; played an Armenian hit man on three episodes of The Shield.
