Came second in a Young Comedian of the Year contest at the age of 13. Has worked with the Thebes Project since the age of 17, helping deprived children in Egypt.
Won Best Newcomer at the 2002 British Soap Awards. Opened a Manchester restaurant in 2012, Annie's, with her husband. Campaigns on behalf of mental health charity Mood Swings Network, alongside her father.
