Became a star overnight when he was 17 after the release of his debut album Not Every Love Song Has Fond Memories.
Had to postpone his acting and singing career in 1994 for compulsory military service.
Realized his dream of car racing in 1997 and went on to become an accomplished racer.
Got in a car racing accident that nearly cost him his life - he limped out and away from the wreck only seconds before it exploded.
Set up the company Jimmy Creative which produced his albums under the music label Forward.
Became the first singer to hold a concert within the Suntec City Fountain of Wealth in Singapore, performing there in 1999.
