Biography
About Hussein Fahmy
Made his feature film debut playing Abbas in the 1963 drama Midaq Alley.
Taught at the Academy of Arts (film institute) in Cairo for 12 years.
Was previously President of the Cairo International Film Festival from 1998 to 2001.
Became the first UNDP Regional Goodwill Ambassador for the Arab States in 1998.
Was appointed the first Regional Ambassador for Special Olympics Middle East/ North Africa in 2007 and became Global Ambassador for Special Olympics in 2017.
