About Ritu Shivpuri
Is the daughter of the popular Bollywood celebrities Om Shivpuri and Sudha Shivpuri. Was offered the first glass of wine by her father when she was only 15 years old. Was only 16-and-a-half years old when her father passed away.
Made her acting debut in the film Aankhen (1993) which was a blockbuster hit. Was engaged to Sheelu in 1993, actor Kamal Sadanah in 1996, singer Mika Singh in 1998, and also to Boy Mukherjee and Sanjay Nagpal, but broke up with all of them. Was chosen by Pahlaj Nihalani as heroine opposite Jugal Hansraj but was cast in another movie Aankhen because she looked older than Jugal.
Married entrepreneur Hari Venkat who is not from the film fraternity. Launched her collection of uncut diamond jewellery and Victorian pieces at Mogra in Mumbai during 2006. Quit acting for about a decade after 2006 after her husband suffered for two years due to a tumour in his spine.
Is the mother of twin daughters, Samara and Raayah, and son Rohil.
