Stands over seven-feet tall. Maintained his job as a hospital worker while playing Chewbacca in the Star Wars films. Established the Peter Mayhew Foundation, a nonprofit organization which helps children and adults in need.
Along with his wife Angie, wrote the book My Favorite Giant (2011), which teaches acceptance to young audiences.
