Was a member of the very first graduating class of the National Theatre School of Canada. First voice-over role was announcing the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1967. Has voiced the Transformers character Optimus Prime for over three decades.
Based his Optimus Prime voice on his older brother, a retired Marine Corps soldier. First actor to give a voice to Nintendo's mascot Mario, on the Saturday Supercade series.
