About Cynthia Rhodes
Tennessee native Cynthia Rhodes got her start in show business at Opryland USA in the 1970s while she was still in high school. A capable singer, actress, and dancer, she soon began appearing in dance-centric movies like Xanadu, Flashdance, Staying Alive, and Dirty Dancing. She also became a popular face in music videos, like Toto's "Roseanna" and "Don't Mean Nothing" by singer/songwriter Richard Marx, whom she later married.
