Biography
About Ram Gopal Varma
Made his directorial debut with Siva (1989), which won the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Film. Won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi as producer and writer of Shool (1999). A winner of two Filmfare Awards, in the Best Story category for Rangeela (1995) and Satya (1998), which won the Ciritcs Award for Best Movie.
Released his autobiography titled Na Ishtam, which also discusses his Ramu style philosophy. Danny Boyle cited Satya (1998) as the inspiration to his Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire (2008).
