Is the oldest of five children. Was a competitive figure skater in her youth. Got her GED at 15 and planned to study nursing, but was too young, so a temporary detour into modeling led to a career in acting.
Was approached by Victoria Beckham at a barbecue to be a model for Beckham's fashion line; Beckham named her "Alice" style of jeans after her. Is a cooking and food enthusiast. Reads textbooks for fun.
