Biography
About Shriya Saran
Trained by her mother in Kathak and Rajasthani folk dance, and later in Kathak by Shovana Narayan. Despite aiming for a career in dance, she was discovered by representatives of Ramoji Films when appearing in a music video by Renoo Nathan. Made her acting debut in the Telugu film Ishtam (2001).
Nominated for the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for her performance in Chatrapathi (2005). Ranked in the top 20 in the Times of India's 50 Most Desirable Women list for 2013; placed 7th in list. Has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and English films.
