Her mother Eve Pollard was the second female editor ever of a major tabloid newspaper and was given an MBE for services to journalism. Wanted to be an art historian and briefly worked in a gallery, but soon became bored of all the 'sitting and waiting'. Named Harrison Ford as her worst interviewee, stating that he was arrogant and boring.
With Tess Daly, became the first all-female presenting duo on Saturday night primetime TV with Strictly Come Dancing. Became a charity ambassador for Dimbleby Cancer Care with Jo Brand in 2015.
