Was discovered at the age of 12 at a fast-food restaurant when a talent scout approached her about modeling. Learned Tagalog to pursue her acting career after moving from Australia to the Philippines. Made her television debut in the drama series TGIS in 1995.
Released her debut album Annebisyosa in 2011. Was listed as one of the 50 Smartest Celebrities on Twitter by TIME magazine in 2014. Partnered with Erwan Heussaff to open a restaurant called Banzai in the Philippines in 2014.
Appoined Celebrity Advocate of United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 2015.
