Biography
About Bharat Dabholkar
Began his career as a trainee in Philips as a management graduate who studied law. Worked on numerous brands which included most of the Tata brands, Bank of India, Videocon, Frooti, Appy and the mineral water, Bailey. Started writing plays during his association with DaCunha Associates, an advertising agency.
Was with DaCunha Associates for 14 years, the last seven as president, and quit to start Zen Advertising which was merged with Publicis Groupe. Has won advertising excellence awards for 14 years in a row for the brand Amul Butter. Has written a number of Hinglish plays, which is a delightful mixture of English and colloquial local Hindi.
Bought a second-hand autorickshaw and restored it to carry his belongings in the crowded roads of Mumbai.
